To be fair the first few years at the Mem were great but it's been downhill since. Ever since the South Stand, two roofs and the new floodlights appeared? See where perceived progress can get you. So..... It appears the sh**ter the stadium the better the team. Tear down the Dribuild at once.

Tear down the Dribuild at once. Ah, I see what you did there, naughty. Nobody has said that but an earlier poster said this. "On a boringly serious point, perhaps the grotto is an example of why we as a club need the UWE. Looking at the virtual stadium picture, surely nobody could imagine the grotto in such a world. The whole outlook of the club would change." I pointed out that we have been sold that one before.

I meant it sarcastically but I should know by now that anything said on the net can be taken any number of ways. I have said for a long time how much I hate the Mem and I find it an embarrassment, especially when you see teams like Telford build a perfectly good stadium for a fraction of what the UWE will cost. To not put a roof on the away end after 16 years is awful.

Nick Higgs, obviously. Ah, Saint Nick wishing families a Merry Christmas just after the Battle of the Somme ended. There are bigger disasters than our grotty grotto, that's for sure.

I know it isn't big I'm just trying to get the point across that we could have done so much more with the Mem while we've been there. Even Dagenham have built that great away end, Torquay with Bristow's Bench etc. If the UWE does die we need to stop going so big and just slowly develop, with Sainsburys compo of course

There was even talk at one point of turning the pitch to 90 degrees and losing some of the car park -but that all stopped when it became obvious that a move was the likely .

Hope UWE does happen but Shrewsbury,Chesterfield,Morecambe etc. have neat new stadiums so surely we could improve the Mem.Telford was very neat but effectivly three sided.Think if the next series of UWE appeals ,counter appeals, counter appeal appeals, Trash finding great crested newts etc cause even more delays to UWE I suspect that the club will have a plan B in place for the MEM and the World's only Tented stand!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much better examples than mine!! That's what I'm trying to get across that all these clubs that supposedly have far less money seem to be able to build perfectly good stadiums.

Well done Aghast that's the first time I've laughed since about 4.15 pm.
Yet another xmas card design perhaps with Santa's sleigh flying through the background?

Yep, bank rolled by the fans though not the directors.
