Still no info on this from the club. I emailed media and Tom Gorringe today but no reply again. I Tweeted him to ask if the club were going to post a video/photos of the Crowdies in the stand, as this is what the clubs who carried on to the end of last season did. Hopefully we'll see something tomorrow - will post if I get a response.

Sleepless night, wondering who my little Chocky will be sitting next to - socially distanced of course!

Gorringe replied to my email to ask me to send him the photos I'd sent so he could look out for it and let me know ... I don't really think he got the point. So, maybe don't expect too much.

I don't want to appear disloyal or a miserable old git. But the ONLY way we should be supporting BRFC is watching them live inside the stadium. Stop watching home games on iFollow, stop paying to have your photo used in an empty stadium. Watching matches on a screen in isolation is NOT the way out of this. This will just prolong the slow death of so many football clubs.
Boris Johnson and Matt Handcock won't and don't give flying f*ck about the things in life that bring you pleasure, in fact they are piece by piece taking those things away from you, and you may never get them back.
We need the grounds open again, without restriction for those who want to attend.
I'm sorry if I sound like a merchant of doom, but life is for living, taking risks, coming together to be the 12th man when our team needs them.

Well, I still don't know if my cardboard cut-out is there - thought we'd get a video or some photos yesterday. It would have been much better to put them on the seats in the South Stand, as somebody else said - it looks like a coconut shy at the moment.

As there was too much uncertainty about spectators being allowed back into the Mem. A decision i'm pleased with. I paid my £10 to watch the Sunderland match, but with no crowd involvement it was a empty sterile atmosphere. Made my mind up there and then, this isn't for me. I am missing the matchday atmosphere, the banter, the elation of scoring (GC era), disappointment of conceding in a collective setting. Players responding to the crowd etc. That special evening under floodlights atmosphere. I've made my peace with it, but realise we probably won't survive, as we will now never be allowed back to our once free status. Eastville Park for me now. At least spectators are allowed !

I'm sorry if I sound like a merchant of doom, but life is for living, taking risks, coming together to be the 12th man when our team needs them. If I have to sacrifice a few games of watching live football to help restrict the spread of a deadly pandemic then I am happy to do so (even if I am not personally in a high risk group - I could still catch it and pass it on to someone who is) As for the "Take Your Place" initiative that you are encouraging people not to take up - this is funding a kids' play room which can be utilised when crowds return and has nothing to do with the general running of the club.. so don't worry - we aren't prolonging the slow death of the club by taking up this offer (not sure why you wouldn't want to prolong the death of our club for as long as possible BTW!!) Have a read here" As part of the Club's strategic aims, we are looking to improve the infrastructure at the Mem to create a safe space for junior fans and those with special needs to enjoy their match day.
In the North West corner of the stadium there is a redundant garage that the Club owns, which we are looking to convert into a sensory room and fun area for kids to play pre-match.
Outside of this space, we will also be looking to expand the offerings for supporters to eat and drink before the game."

Chocky is in pride of place, right behind the goal at 15 seconds in! I wonder if any of the cats belong to Henbury Gas?
