Could see this happening for some time, coach to younger age groups Gardner may shine but as a manager NO.

I’m not sure calling Ben Garner a ‘thing’ is in good taste. In fact it’s pretty poor.

Ggmi if he won the next 10 games you would still be on his case, your love for DC is unconditional and he won’t be back.
BG is a person not a thing even if he’s doing a bad job at the moment, you just don’t like him do you?
please edit your post.

And as for DC, please don't ever mention the King in the same sentence as this fraud.

After listening to Mark Littles interview I still remain positive that Ben can turn this around. We have been dealt an extremely tough start to the season and when you are trying to build a complete new team it takes time. I remember the meltdown last year when we lost at Coventry early in the season and the performance was pathetic and looked like we were going to be in for a long season. Patience is definitely required and given 15 games in if there are no signs of the passing attacking football that BG has been bought in to implement then maybe it's time to question. 2 games in against 2 of the biggest sides in the league is a slight over reaction.

Definitely no. Win ratio of less than 10% after 23 games ! Awful performances and no cohesion anywhere on the park . You may be good with youth teams Ben but Senior sides are different.

The thing is, something happened after that Coventry match. We beat the much fancied Oxford with Snake in a toxic match the week after. And then went on a 9 march unbeaten run. What in the world (apart from hope) lends evidence that sort of run can be repeated with BG?

If it wasn't the fact the snake was playing would the fans have been so up for it after the previous results? GC started last season badly but he wasn't trying to totally rebuild a team.

I no longer believe in a thing called Gas Go Marching In.
Can we have a poll about that?

That's exactly what GC was doing, bringing in new players and playing his style of rebuilding. No one saw the Oxford result coming, or the unbeaten run, but it wasn't just about one performance against Oxford was it? Snake fact or no. (Hmmmm where did Oxford end end up in the end? As opposed to Sunderland and Ipswich.. 🤔) ....it was the unbeaten run after. That's what helped us propel up the division and help rebuild his team. Something changed after Cov away in August last year. Nothing has changed from Cov away FA cup this year. There's only one common denominator that's responsible.

Go for the ball, not the player's balls.
Attack the post, not the poster.
Imho.

It’s not just the results though we don’t look like improving, regardless of the opposition. The only result we could of got yesterday was a 0-0. We were a team at home looking to see out a 0-0, with what seems like a glass jaw. There was 0 attacking intent. We saw a few glimpses of nice passing in midfield but none of it led to any threat. Our 2 main chances were from a long ball where the ipswich players stopped for offside and a half chance for kilgour from a free kick. Ipswich were getting through our defence far too easy and but for some last ditch defending from little and kilgour (how on earth did the two ipswich player get on their own in our six yard box. Generally the midfield was absent, the formation didn’t work and the tactics didn’t work and what does Ben do. His first change is to make a like for like change up front. Maybe he will prove us wrong but i can’t see it. His record so far is awful. Yes give him a bit more of a chance to get things working with the new players but I honestly think were flogging a dead horse

OK GGMI we get it. You want BG out. Your endless threads are tedious. Out of interest, did you want DC and GC out too? And why are you referring to our manager as a thing? Very disrespectful.
