Can't believe he's on 9 grand a week. no chance, Taylor was on 10k a week in total with winning and goal scoring bonuses. 11k you say?

Tbh I don't think he's done anything wrong, he was offered a contract, he signed the contract, it didn't work out not through a lack of want from him, he was frozen out and now he's been moved on. Sometimes things don't work out, we were pushed at the time and fans demanded we got something over the line and paid too much. I hope we learn from the mistake and hopefully Kyle is a success at Grimsby.

Wonder how much of his £5,000 a week Grimsby are paying? So he has had a pay rise just before he leaves. Started about a year ago on here that he was on £3k a week and has gradually increased in the last year to £4k, £4.5k and now £5k. Fair play on here to all the itk's, hope his departure is for the season. No doubt if he returns after Christmas he will probably be on £6k by then.

£12k a week for Bennett was mental. We should never have signed off on it.
Hopefully Grimsby are paying at least 20% of his £40k a week wages.

Can’t believe we awarded Bennett a large stake of ownership in the club alongside his £34k per week wages. Little bit much imho.

I can't understand why he went he was earning enough to buy Bristol Rovers and play himself every week.

Say what you like, but I'm still astonished we built him a 16 bedroom house directly underneath the new Almondsbury Training complex. As if his £50k per week wages weren't enough.
Apparently Wael's first born child will also be gifted to him.
Football has gone mad.

I had no idea that he was given the West Stand and all the cash the hospitiality makes plus his £60k a week wages

Bennets First interview as a Grimsby Player:
I'm happy, it did take a few days to get done but I'm here now and I'm looking forward to getting going and I've met all the boys this morning, it was nice to do that and get my first session in. It's been my first session for a while for me so, but I'm here now.
I don't know about that [starting on Saturday], I haven't been training for quite a while, I haven't been training with Bristol, so I have got a bit of catching up to do fitness-wise, but it shouldn't take me too long, I feel like I'm quite fit anyway naturally, so I don't think it'll take too long to get up to speed.
The manager is all for it, he's very passionate about football and passionate about the lads and how you are as a person so he seems like a great manager to work for.

It’s only a loan so he could still back though one hopes he won’t as his never ending contract would finally expire by the end of this season

Be surprised if Ollie will be pay more than £1k to £1.5K a week in wages but better than nothing.
Hope there is no break- clause in the loan and we get an unwanted Christmas present.
Still not Kyle's fault he was so highly rated by DC.

Good luck to KB in the search for a new career.
He's actually got a better scoring record pro rata than TN!
I don't understand the angst? He took a contract that was offered to him in good faith, and even though with hindsight it hasn't appeared to work practically for either party, KB has not been public on social media about his frustrations. He doesn't deserve any form of trolling.
If any one of us were in his situation with offer on the table, whom wouldn't accept those terms?

Perhaps he was thinking of Tony Bennet a good old crooner? Kyle has certainly taken us for a song.

I don't see why we would pay any of his wages either. The lad himself, if he had anything about him, would want to be playing football. Therefore, if Grimsby wanted him to go there, they would offer what they can afford. He would negotiate obviously, but he'd have to accept a pay cut to get game time. Any footballer who is happy to sit on his backside creaming the money rather than play is a player that no club should actually touch. For some players it is literally just a job. If I managed to land a job that paid £4k a week and was later told that I wasn't needed, but they were still paying me, would I move on - no I bloody well wouldn't.

Whatever we were paying him, it was too much. He looked decent at the beginning so you have to ask the question why was he so poor from the start of the following season?
Seems like a player who gives up when he gets his feet under the table given what ive heard from Pompey fans.
