Worries me for same reason Didn't JCH have a mystery injury/illness just before he was sold? There's always a chance a Championship club(s) asked us not to cup tie him if we wanted top dollar in January, it seems strange that our most sellable asset gets injured the day before a January cup tie. Already Cup Tied as he played in round 2 and scored. That's one theory less to be worried about.

In this instance I don't buy this conspiracy theory. PT gave a quite detailed response of when and how it happened at the end of final training meaning the they did not practice with Ayunga. Conspiracy is a bit strong old chap, we're putting 2 and 2 together, not demanding the government produce documents relating to alien abduction And we all know what 2 & 2 make -- Don't we.

It looks like Bernardo Silva must have been watching SN's goal from last week, as his goal today was virtually the same type of volley!

So you think all the rumours on Gaschat have a sound foundation? Unless Sam Frost etc or the club/another club say something then everything on here is just a rumour w/o any real source.

Hanlan limping at the end.As our striking options are limited-both scorers defenders- do hope it was only a small knock.

Nicholson has 18 months left on his contract and according to the Edinburgh Post article has just moved in to a new house in Bristol, likes the area and is enjoying playing for Rovers.
I'm sure at some point he'll move on but I don't think he'll be pushing for a move less than 6 months after signing and we'd be mad to sell our best player when we're just 2 points above the relegation zone.
If we can't negotiate a new / extended contract I expect he'll be sold in the summer when he'll probably have even more options available.

I thought Hanlon was on 2 year deal? Can anyone clarify / Confirm?

I suppose we could offer them both a contract extension at the seasons end. We must be the worst club for keeping promising players, as soon as anyone shows potential they’re off. I know it’s club policy, but surely it’s not too much to ask that we get to see good players for at least a couple of seasons before they’re sold.

Sam Nicholson injury news due later today according to Sam Frost - this was in the matchday blog...
"The other change has been enforced. Sam Nicholson dropped out of training yesterday with a pain in his hip, so we'll wait to find some results of that on Monday or Tuesday.
That could be a bit of an issue for us, so that's a real shame."
