Looks like this has already done the rounds on Facebook over the weekend but here goes anyway
It looks like The Bears (2018) Brought to you by The Tax Exile Steve Lansdown have decided to accept that they're now purely an extension of BCFC (1982) Brought to you by Tax Exile Steve Lansdown.
Whilst a bit of banter is always good,The Bears(2018) decided that this was good PR for a company allegedly "Making Bristol Proud"
Its always good to see members of the "Hard of Thinking Community" get their chance at employment in the community but maybe dont use them to promote the company on your TV Chanel.

Got no problem with that. He's obviously a ted and not just saying what he thinks the fans want him to say.
Being completely honest hearing a Bristolian talk like that about their club is lush to hear, even if I don't like the team.

I watched many a Bristol game at the Mem when I was a schoolboy. They were always my team regardless of the success of nearby West Country rivals. Sorry to say my affection for the club evaporated when they moved to AG (can't even bring myself to spell it!).
Nonetheless, the Bears have done well to win that European trophy and consolidate their position in the Premier league of rugby union. Just goes to show what decent management and financial backing can achieve.

No real issue with the interview. Tonnes of passion for Bristol and his club which is great to see and fine by me.
Bit bizarre for an egg-chaser to bring football, and us, into it but rugby is full of strange folks anyway. Nice to see, on the biggest day of his professional career, he's thinking of us LOL!

Don't care about the egg chasers. Let's talk about Rovers.

If ever you needed more proof of just how much the Gas is in the hearts and minds of the people of Bristol, it’s this. The Gas getting relegated is on par as winning a major European trophy.
I’m sure even just mentioning this on here will get another 100 pages on the 2000+, 60k+ comments and 4m+ views obsessed thread. Then again I think they might have more to talk about as 2 of their players were seen Scuffing the penalty spot whilst one of Barnsley players was down unconscious.....classy...

Bit bizarre for an egg-chaser to bring football, and us, into it This is the biggest thing for me. Can you imagine a footballer winning the Europa Cup and then going on about rugby in their post match interview? Rugby fans are as obsessed with football as City fans are with Rovers - so this is a perfect package of the two.

Can’t say this was anything more than a bit of a laugh really.
We’ve had Bristol players that support us too, and I expect they all have a bit of banter between them.
Not a problem. Good to get a mention!

Doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
We don’t like them, they don’t like us, and so it shall always be.

So let me get this right, Bristol Bears have just won a European competition and they put it on a par with us getting relegated. They must be obsessed with us after all. UTG!

It's mad that they've basically won the Europa League of rugby and nothing much has been made of it

Also the Heineken Cup final was at Ashton Gate the next day. I know it's behind closed doors but you'd think there would be more made about it? Like some rugby events in the city or something?

Pointless sport tbh. If you want to touch up other men and drink each others water there is always the downs after dark

It's mad that they've basically won the Europa League of rugby and nothing much has been made of it Wasps may be forced to miss the play off final against Exeter due to positive Coronavirus tests, Bristol on standby to play instead.

Oscar Wilde said "There's one thing worse than being talked about.....and that's NOT being talked about!". To be fair we all cheered when Windass got that goal .....

I would agree with anyone who says we would enjoy any misfortune that visited that lot. I think my thoughts were, firstly it’s an odd thing for a winning rugby player to say in his moment of triumph and appears a little sad and secondly for the comments to be aired seem to suggest that The Bears (2018) are a C££££y (1982) setup that no longer represents the city
