Don’t humour him mate .... he always writes controversial and antagonistic stuff purely to get a rise.... has been the same about everything and I’m not convinced he actually is a Gas SUPPORTER as he demonstrates very little support for the club in his posts - mainly just criticisms and digs.... You can support the club without being devoted to the manager, after all I think Garner is boring to listen too, talks about things like statistics and usually in a monotone voice. DC and Coughlin had much more feeling about the game and were more "the peoples" style of manager. Lots of supporters like me want to see exciting footy with lots of goals and near misses. What we have seen so far is none of that, pass sideways, pass sideways, pass back; pass back , hoof it forward. Then after we have lost he comes up with "well we had more of the ball than them". Meaningless, totally meaningless. If this is modern football FFS get me a time machine. I agree with your point that you can be a supporter of the club / team without necessarily supporting or agreeing with the manager. Unfortunately though when it comes to horfield - and I apologise if I’m wrong on this as I haven’t actually gone back and checked and so it’s based on my perception - he just puts controversial statements or digs about the manager (whoever it has been), the team, players etc and it’s always generally the sentiment that we/they/whatever is crap and it’s normally always on what are positive threads and always try’s to turn them into negative/club bashing ones.... As I said, I could be wrong as it’s my perception....

Not sure Garner would get another managers job when it's time to say goodbye, US collegiate soccer coach likely next stop. Given a bit of time, which I'm sure he will be, I feel BG will produce a team that plays fast, attacking football. It may well be that we're fighting to keep hold of him in 18 months time. Its to be hoped he shows a bit more loyalty that that asshole Coughlan.

But he’s a manager in the 2000s and I’m not sure how long managers get now, not long and definitely not as long as they used to get. I doubt some managers who were successful back along would get that chance now because the demand for immediate success would have seen them gone. I think BG is fortunate to have a fairly patient owner in Wael who will probably give him more time than many would. If that happens let’s hope he can become very successful. UTG!

Unfortunately the desperation for Garner to succeed will just not be sufficient.

Unfortunately the desperation for Garner to succeed will just not be sufficient. He seems to be doing OK at the moment? OK start in the league and still in 2 cups ano improving performances? He may fall away but everything is currently pointing towards that he won't. Today is another tough game but if we can put in a result like we did against Lincoln then we will keep climbing the league.

Unfortunately the desperation for Garner to succeed will just not be sufficient. Oh, I agree. However Garner's wasn't , in my opinion, an appointment made with immediate success in mind. There has been a complete change in philosophy, with the aim of become self-sufficient through recruiting and developing good young players as well as a good academy hopefully producing a few home grown players who are good enough. That, by definition, suggests a long term plan, and sometimes you have to take a few steps back before going forwards. I think the massive commitment Wael has made and continues to make, earns him the right to patience and support from us fans. UTG.

Did you actually think we'd go out today and stuff Fleetwood ? Especially in the conditions and missing our talismanic keeper? 2nd half performance wasn't too bad and all the goals again came from individual player mistakes.... just like 1 win doesn't make him the greatest manager around, a defeat tokay doesn't make him useless and terrible. ... That's the problem with many of our fans though - fickle and also overplay the hype on wins and over react with defeats.... Garner is doing OK this season in the grand scheme of things. ....he can do better, but also much worse.... the players have to shoulder a lot of the blame for defeats or lost points this season as most of the goals against come from individual player mistakes

Sign of a lost argument when you can’t respond with any constructive points to challenge.... Feel free to disagree with the points I’ve made and counter challenge with why they are not right or valid but I don’t think you can as they are correct points made....

Your level of delusion perfectly highlighted my original point to the degree I couldn't tell if you were joking or not, so bravo sir! 😂 You've made yourself look a bit daft claiming your bloke who won 5 from 30+ games was doing a good job, so good we have finally been put out of our misery in fact.

Thing is whilst Garner was officially the manager end of last season with it not being his team and a team made up of non technical players, coupled with his personal issues and add to the fact the shock of GC leaving when he did and the impact on the players, I think it’s unfair to put all of last seasons bad results on him. This season his results have been average, performances have been better but inconsistent as expected from a young new side and the goals shipped have been down to player mistakes. We’ve also played more stronger teams so far I think sacking him is premature but I’m not in control of the purse strings...
