Us Rovers fans are good at bringing ourselves down and being negative (some might call it being realistic) but when our manager said we were on a good run I thought I would check our recent results only 1 defeat in the last 15 league games ! and that was playing half the game against Forest Green with 10 men we are on a fantastic run and to be honest Barnet looked like most teams in this league slow with a phsyical approach we have got better and I firmly believe having seen most of the teams we are the best by some distance I strongly believe Barnet will fall away and might even struggle to make the playoffs so the top spot is easily available onwards and upwards come on you blues

Too many draws. We have to be more ruthless when on top. We should have been 3 up before they equalised.

Draws are good if you are not loosing Facts 8 wins 6 draws 1 defeat 30 points from 15 games 24 games left 48 points ( just on current form) total points 86 = CHAMPIONS !

IMO we are a team getting better and I see no reason why we can't increase the number of wins compared to draws maybe to 18 wins 2 draws and 4 defeats ie 56 points plus the 38 we have to make 94 points. Trouble is this is football and it could just as easily take a turn for the worse so lets just take each game as it comes and see where it takes us.

If Barnet do as well aso they have then they will be champions with 92 points. I've said since pre season that we need to target an average of 2 points a game to win this league and that is proving to be the case. We're nearly there!

Reason being they have now lost 5 games and are on a poor run of form so as I said I can't see them getting another 46 points in fact nowhere near it ,they have a small squad and rely on 3 key players they will get beaten a lot in the 2nd half of the season as a lot of teams like us were struggling and have now got there act together I think Barnet have surprised themselves they don't get good gates so wouldn't be at all surprised if they loose there key players in the January transfer window ,they are not a Luton this is just my opinion and a long way to go !

Someone made a point on another thread that maybe Barnet won't like it up em on a cold winter night so they may fall away as winter draws in.
I recon that was the case last night. You just got the impression that our boys just wanted it a bit more. We out ran them, out thought them and out fought them. When they saw Parkes, Lockyer, Mansell, Taylor, Blissett and of course Sinclair play like they did in the freezing cold soaking wet conditions they knew they were in for a tough night.
Every 50/50 was going to go our way because we made it so.
I also think Barnet were not as poor as some have said. They showed some good flashes of quality. I just think we played that well as a team that we kept them subdude.
We won because this group don't give up. Lockyer was excellent in forcing the successive corners that eventually led to our winner.

At the start of the 2nd half you could clearly see they are a good team who keep the ball well but the first half they weren't getting a look in. Some of passing play was beautiful and then when we lost the ball we gave 110% to win it back. I would say we looked more up for it last night. Probably because it was a must win for us whereas I think Barnet would have been happy for a draw. That last night is the first time I've seen us this season and really believed that this team can win us the league.
