Everything is easier after the event.
Garner left us 18th in the table, 3 points above the bottom 4. Oxford had a game in hand - which I believe they won - so we were effectively 19th and 2 points ahead of 21st.
I'm not sure you can say you're in a relegation battle after 11 games but our league position hasn't changed much since he left, so regardless of PPG, if we're in a relegation battle now, we were then.
I don't think you can blame Wael or the board for getting rid of Garner. He had a woeful first season and was struggling to keep us out the bottom 4 this season despite signing 15 players.
The mistake seems to be appointing Tisdale, who so far has only made things worse.
That said, I started this thread after the Accrington debacle when it appeared the players were no longer playing for the manager. The last 2 performances suggest that isn't the case.
I couldn't fault the effort last night and a lot of our play was decent. We created enough chances to have scored at least a couple of goals.
I would now give him one more game to see if we can turn the improved performances into three points. Saturday really is must win, both for our survival chances and Tisdale.
