Despite the fact we have only played 24 games the Table suggests that we are unlikely to finish above 17th this season with a gap having opened up with our 1 point out of 15. At the moment I would settle for finishing one place out of the drop-it is that bad! The past five games have shown how true the old saying about having Games in hand- they are just no good unless you win some of them! 5 games ago I was honestly looking at a mid table finish but unless Tisdale can find an answer this is going to be a disaster. On paper we were just missing a striker but now it looks like we need to start again in the summer and get rid of most of the entire squad as at the present time it is hard to select a single defender who you think will have a good game.

It’s so strange as the earlier part of the season we had 8 games conceding 1 goal or less.

The bookies a little more hopeful of our league 1 survival with odds before today's game at 5 to 4

Not really concerned with us finishing 17th or above I'm busy worrying about us finishing above 21st.

Gloomy as that forecast is I would snatch your had off for 17th place finish or anything above the relegation places. The only thing that gives me a flicker of hope today is that Fleetwood's form is nearly as bad as ours.

Whatever the out come, it is yet another wasted season.

Would definitely settle for 20th place right now. It goes without saying that relegation could set us back years. If we stay up, a decent level of football allows the possibility of high crowds when the football-starved public are allowed in again and there is potential for a boom.

Whatever the out come, it is yet another wasted season. I thought this season was a promotion push playing attractive football as opposed to a promotion push under Graham Coughlan playing unattractive football but it hasn’t panned out that way for some surprising reason. Never mind.

The first step to avoiding relegation is tightening things up defensively. If we are frugal at the back we have always got a chance in every game. Today's result will be a confidence booster after the shambles that was Accrington.

We can't really judge if we've made any progress in defence until we play Oxford, as Fleetwood looked very poor today, if I was one of their fans I'd be worried about them getting pulled into a relegation fight.

We somehow have to aim for 50 points which is standard but probably will be less required. That is 26 points from 21 games - say 8 wins which is hard to visualise at the moment as we can't buy a win. The quicker we get a win the easier it will be to visualise!!!

We need to target the 6 pointers, beat the likes of Swindon, Wigan etc...Try and take points from the better teams by defending for our lives, each point being a bonus. No room for expansive football now, we need to be hard to beat.
