Tisdale inherited a poisoned chalice. That squad was built by Garner and sanctioned by the board and Mr 100%. The squad was and still is badly balanced, lacks senior pros and as Tisdale rightly said last night lacks any experienced striker. The January window is notorious for being difficult to find clubs prepared to let good players go, particularly strikers, unlike the summer when contracts are up and there is more movement.
Tisdale on reflection didn't stand much chance, but had the balls to give it a go.
So on Sat, let's see what Mr 100% can do with a squad he has been significantly responsible for. It will be an interesting watch. Will he still be Mr 100% come 5pm? Unless he can pull rabbits from hats, which Tisdale admitted was beyond his capabilities, then he will become Mr 50%.
This is an absolute mess.
League 2 next season.

Wow! It's not been great but I didn't expect that. Would be interested to know the facts though. It seems as soon as you talk out against the board you're a goner... You better be careful then...

Agreed with a few on here, get mansell in charge, natural born leader, wears his heart on his sleeve and will instil some energy and set high expectations of the players.

If only we could get DC back! Feels like we've had a trial separation and after a few one night stands have come to the realisation that the grass isn't greener and all that. We belong together, he's gas through and through and simply gets us. Reckon he'd get our bunch of young and inexperienced players grinding out some results. FFS DC got sacked because he was taking us down to L2, only a mad man would employ again to finish off the job.

Tbh 365, if you listened to fans from clubs where managers were sacked you’d probably never appoint any manager. Perhaps not Gerry Francis after failing at Exeter. Whatever, stick someone in charge for the next month and do your homework on the next permanent manager. Me I’d go for Manse and Hargreaves but it’s going to be TW. At least he knows the players. 😉 UTG! I don’t think we have a month! The time for due diligence was before hiring Tisdale, games thick and fast at the moment and we need stability. Perhaps there aren’t many managers whose former fans would speak highly of them...but is it so hard to find a manager that at least makes rational decisions? Both Garner and Tisdale did not seem to have basic game management. Why would Tisdale change the winning formula he discovered against Plymouth and Wimbledon? So bizarre I know what you mean about time, but you always have time to make the right appointment rather than a rushed one. UTG,

At least Tis can say that despite many poor performances and slipping into a precarious position he never once heard a discontented word from any of the fans at the games! The first permanently appointed manager in our history never to have any of our paying fans attend any of the games for which he was in charge.
