I think you are absolutely right here ... We have no say whatsoever in the process and ultimately Starnes will relegate us or keep us in the League with the next appointment. This is his mess make no doubt about that and I am sure he doesn't have the same stress and sleepless nights we are having as fans. Truly he should have been sacked then dressed in old rags and placed on the back of a cart, trundled down the Gloucester Road before being placed in stocks for fans to come and 'pay their respects' to him. Whoever comes in though we have to get behind them or we have failed the club as well - We owe it to ourselves to fight as best as WE can to keep the side in L1. Why is it the fault of Starnes, 'no doubt about that'? He wasn't playing, he didn't manage, he didn't choose tactics, and he didn't identify new signings. If we're looking for guilty parties, he's a little way down my list for a lynching.

Why not instead of just criticizing every name put forward do people not just get behind WHOEVER is eventually appointed. It seems to me the only reason people want to criticise is so in the event of failure they can remind people on here and on facebook that they didn't want that person. Its very easy for us fans because it is not our money to pay these Managers. Social Media has a lot to answer for and a lot of it not for the better. There was a time when everybody would give a new Manager a chance - took years before Bert Tann had to put up with "Send Bert Tann to Vietnam!!" In Barton's case we'd have to get in front of him, not behind

Supposedly he is the one that oversees the running of the club. 4 left backs alone gets him the sack imho, add to that he reccomended Tisdale, thats another reason. He cons Wael

Jerrythe Berry, It won't matter who gets the job or got the job I would still support them and the team. It is slightly different criticising performances on a match by match basis and building your opinion based on matches played. There are people who are saying they won't support the team if Joey Barton gets the job. Thats not a TRUE supporter because it is in the blood. I can be as frustrated as hell with performances and say I won't be spending another £10 but come the next away game I will be paying that £10 WHOEVER is Manager as Bristol Rovers is my team.
