I know it's pretty irrelevant, but hey...
Just wanted to know where Luton were this time last season? Wins, Draws, Losses, Goals against for etc.
Just to see if we're the bench mark, did they go on a mazy winning streak, because they didn't start well did they?

Not that far away really
Luton (Position - 2nd) Pl 22, W12, D8, L2, GF43, GA19, GD+24, Pts44
Rovers (Position - 4th) Pl 22, W10, D8, L4, GF26, GA20, GD+6, Pts38
I know it means naff all, but it's nice to have a bench mark (well I think so any road).
I can keep this updated if others are interested? Luton won the league by 19pts.

I keep saying and am convinced that 2 points a game should be the target. If we don't win the league with 92 points then we will be very unlucky.

I think December will be very telling. Theoretically, we could be coming into our best part now. We've a far stronger squad now than we've had over most of the first half. At worst we'll be entering the half way point with 38 points, say we replicate that form in the second season your looking at 76. I can't see us having bits like the bad start or the little run without a win again though, personally. I see no reason we can't atleast challenge for 1st. Barnet aren't unbeatable by any means.

I like this quote from a barnet fan on their forum; "Sorry to be negative but to me that last minute goal marks a gut wrenching shift in momentum, and the last team we wanted to surrender the initiative to was Bristol Rovers". so others seem a little concerned about us for sure....

Well, if we win tomorrow, we will have 41 at half way. If we do the same in the second half that will be 82. Barnet have 46, so would only need another 36 to equal (therefore beat us on GD) us, which istm they would do comfortably unless they really hit the wall. Even going off the boil they have 17pts from their last 10 games (in contrast we have 15) which would be about 39pts from 23. And that's ignoring several teams around us who could easily go on a decent run.

It is a realistic target and would probably be enough to win the league (if it isn't we're unlucky).

Oh, wait.... I'm really trying so hard not to get carried away but I have a feeling we could really kick on now. I was so impressed with us Tuesday night. Of course the other half of me is saying wait a minute, calm down ggmi. You're getting carried away. Rovers always let you down remember. I just really hope that this is it now...I'm thinking of having a bet on us for the league which will no doubt really put the mockers on it!

Last season despite not losing since mid-September Luton Town didn't hit the top of the Conference until 28th December 2013. People talk about their 'bad start' but they only lost once between the 2nd game of the season and the middle of March (yes, MARCH - 1 loss in 34 games) yet only got to top slot on game 25, after a run of 13 wins and 4 draws. ... BECAUSE Cambridge Utd won their first 12 home games in a row, disgracefully letting in 2 goals and only scoring 28! This season Barnet have been top since 30th August. I'd love it if we knocked them off

Have to say I think Grimsby are the team to watch. Gary Hill of Woking doesnt agree. this comment was made after their recent match:
""To see the display what I've seen - from the poorest Grimsby team I've ever seen up here - and I mean that.
"They were there to be taken tonight and we haven't done that, which is disappointing."

Have to say I think Grimsby are the team to watch. I don't think so. I think us and Barnet might pull away with Eastleigh and Grimsby in 3rd and 4th.

I just have this feeling that Barnet will implode at some point this season maybe it is that Martin Allen is a ticking bomb and could blow at any time. I just think they will crash spectacularly much like rovers did with Holloway some years ago. I Actually think that Macclesfield are the team to watch at the moment.

I think the team to watch is us. The signings we have made have shown real intent, as did our performance against the haircut. They are going for it.

And Luton "Goals For" tally told a better story than ours. Most teams' "Goals For" tally tells a better story than ours...hopefully we're well on the way to fixing it though!
