4 points out of the next 2 games and I'll be happy enough.

As a Wrexham fan i dont know what to expect to be honest..
On our day and playing to our potential im confident we can literally beat any team in this league c onvincingly....
but thats where our problem lies.. consistancy!! our form has been incredibly strange.. beating teams like Barnet away.. Woking convincingly in FA Cup.. and then crappy ass displays like alty last week..and braintree week before.
if our good form turns up.. i expect 3 points for Wrexham.. if its been the form of late who does i expect us to lose 2-0 or 3-0.
its one of those games i simply cant call. due to how indifferent we have been.

It is a hard game to call and Ide go for a point usually at best. However with our new forward capacity I think this is a game we need to be looking to win if we are serious in catching Barnet. Though one game doesn't a season make and if we do lose this one we still have games to make it up.

They are 19th in the form league, we shouldn't fear them. They are a big name team with lots of history, but without a team to match. We beat them when they were in form at the mem, I expect us to take 3 points. I like the games coming thick and fast as dc has achieved great fitness levels in the team, something other teams have struggled with when playing us on stirs day night.

They looked decent at the Mem earlier in the season despite playing a lot of the game with 10 men but with their poor form and our decent run, I think we could get the 3 points. Especially as we now look a lot more capable up front.
Probably would still be reasonably happy with a point though if we got 3 against Welling next week.

In a way I am kind of more confident against a big club like Wrexham than a smaller club like Alfreton/Welling etc as there is less pressure as people view Wrexham as a big club. I'm not saying it is right but losing to a small club like the ones mentioned would be very demoralising but a defeat to Wrexham would sound a lot more acceptable to fans. With that in mind I expect us to go there and treat them like a big club rather than being complacent and thinking we can just turn up. I'm not overly confident we'll win but I'm confident we won't lose.

Should open some space for balanta and ldv, who I expect to start. UTG

Don't forget though that Wrexham "can beat anyone on their day".

Lol anyone can beat anyone 'on their day'. That's what makes it 'their day'.
They'll never beat the gas.

Watched them bottle it against Chester earlier in the year. Just a matter of going at them hard for the full 90, which DC seems to be trying to do.

Do they still use their kop? Speaking of which, since when did the Blackthorn end start getting referred to as the Kop End?

Heard it on the Radio Briz highlights in the car on the way home Saturday "Matty Taylor - in front of the Kop End" in regards to the penalty. That's probably the third time I've heard it on R Bristol and I'm sure very recently I've either read on a forum or heard someone saying it.

We've played at Wrexham 21 times since 1945 and won only 3, in September 1963, May and November 1979.
We have lost the last 9 games at their ground

As others have said, they looked reasonable, without being world-beaters at the Mem and threw it away with a rash challenge that led to the sending off. However, we've improved since then and there is no reason we cannot go to Wrexham full of confidence.

Definitely agree ....consistency does seem to be Wrexham's problem. Home losses to Gateshead, Woking, Grimsby and Altrincham, away losses at Rovers, Chester, Torquay and Braintree, suggest some fragility. A tendency to get red cards in these games hasn't helped. On the other hand, away wins at Barnet and FGR and scoring goals for fun in the FA cup make tomorrow's game a difficult one. Saturday (3-1 vs Aldershot) was Wrexham's first league win since September, but might suggest they are coming out of a bad patch. IMO Rovers will need to perform well for the 90 mins to get anything out of this game.

I still say Blackthorn.
