DC failing was the start of our demise as he never replaced the likes of Lines or Taylor & co, JCH papered over the cracks for a season but last summer we really need a complete overall, which I guess Wael went for but choose the wrong manager and "vision". I doubt Blackpool spent much more and Gillingham alot less for a far better returns. I agree with you Topper but the strange thing about the comparison with Blackpool is they made a very similar appointment to BG in Neil Critchley who came from managing Liverpool youngsters. He probably had less experience than BG but he’s been a success. So perhaps you can be successful with a new manager who’s been managing youngsters. Better players I guess though we did beat them for one of our few wins, though istr we were fortunate as they had many chances to score. UTG!

We need another rebuild this summer, i only hope Joey and Wael can bring in the players required to compete in league 2 and we bounce back.
There is a hard task though to clear out what we have, can we loans players out. Terminate contracts i imagine would be far too expensive.

The UWE was pivotal in our momentum under Clarke and who can blame him for giving up when it became clear to him he no longer had a ticket to ride.

The UWE would have been years away from being constructed if we'd ever got funding, you can't use that as an excuse for DC signing the likes of Payne.
