I only hope Waels dream of seeing us championship is backed up with stadium development, until we have this I can't see it ever being achieved. Wael must be equally aware as us that a new stadium is required, the easy option for him would be to call it a day and just write off his losses but he's clearly intent on seeing the project though.

The biggest issue to overcome is the return of fans. Please, no vaccine passports. Temp checks maybe. Masks voluntary.
I can't put up with another season of soulless empty stadiums.

He’s made some bad errors of judgement regarding appointments recently for sure but I really like the bloke his hearts in the right place he’s a Gashead through and through despite being from Jordonand being a new Gashead and he’s loosing probably around 4 million a year as opposed to the one or two million a year he was before Covid but he still talks like he did and with the same passion as he did when we were winning back to back promotions. He’s not perfect but from day one I always thought we were in good hands and that hasn’t changed. Hopefully he’ll be able to spend a decent amount of time in England over the next few months and out right the wrongs that are in our club. I realise it’s been a hard time for him losing his father , then with Covid and now almost certainly relegation but I have the upmost respect for him as a person.

Wael is a great guy, and we should all be extremely grateful to him for his support for our club.
I hope that his commitment will be rewarded sooner or later.

We went from 3rd to nailed on relegation with three disastrous manager appointments that we will be paying off for years. Went into the season with no replacement for JCH and light on experience up front in general, we then sacked Tisdale after failing to strengthen up front in Jan. We then brought in a fanbase splitting appointment in Barton that hasn't worked. We have an unbalanced squad and scant opportunities to offload players.
Five years on we're no closer to a fit for purpose stadium.
Wael has given us a training ground, seems to be willing to dip into his pocket to plug the gaps and some nice words. For me there are huge question marks over his judgment and he needs to surround himself with better people to avoid making more expensive mistakes for himself, like this totally avoidable relegation.

Great stuff Wael and thanks for everything!, you can tell he is hurting like the rest of us ,have no fear Wael, foreign you may be, but be assured you are not viewed in the same way as most foreign owners ,we think of you as one of us and we are so lucky to have you on board! I would say he's hurting about 25 million times more than a lot of people, the ones who weren't in a position to but a season ticket this season, but still not as much as those who've lost someone close throughout all of this mess.

I’m so glad we’ve got Wael at the helm of our club, he’s a top bloke with his head and heart in the right place.

Call me a cynic, but I thought it was interesting he didn't mention our manager's role in the months ahead. Not a word about JB.
I wonder what that might mean? Maybe nothing much, but it was surprising to me. None of us know what he thinks of JB's results and statements, but at the very least I would think it's reasonable to assume he is disappointed with the way things have gone under JB's leadership.
That aside, a very reassuring statement, and I think we're lucky to have him.

Maybe we are cynics but I thought it was interesting there was no backing or even a get behind ‘Joey and the lads’ but just ‘get behind the lads’. It might be that he’s covering all bases at the moment, which is fair enough. It’s no criticism of him whatsoever. I like that he was compelled to write what was clearly at times an emotional response, triggered by the super league news and our current situation.

I know it's being discussed on other threads, and I'm not having a go, but what has Joey done to make you know, and have no doubt, that he will make us bounce back? You might make me change my mind about him.

You don't need to change your mind it's just my opinion.

Nobody can say for certain what will happen in football, some fans have confidence in JB, some don't, we'll only know when next season starts who's right. If JB's still here then at least the summer will be entertaining as a Gashead!

Great letter and reading between the lines, he is preparing us all in advance that the forthcoming season ticket prices will be increased, regardless of what division we are in. Well, that is my interpretation anyway.
