I also see it as an accomplishment that we registered 10 wins with this squad!

Let's hope we never have a folly like this again. You dont rip up a mentally tough winning side and replace it with a schoolboy coach and a squad of players who are weak in body and mind forlower league football Will Wael learn this lesson, if not the end of BRFC is on the horizon. For all of his generosity I believe he is not good for us as he is too remote and most of those looking out on his behalf, look the other way, gladly taking his free money.

Yes absokutely disgusting to be bottom by 3 pts. We are fans deserve so much more but not sure the club does. We dont DESERVE anything, more than effort and commitment. We have had hardly any of that since Barton took over We have had "hardly any of that" since December 2019 when Garner took over!

Swindle coming with us, small crumb of comfort we gifted them 6 points and they still somehow managed to be almost as bad as us.

Posted this on the other better place!:
On March 4th, you can see for yourself, amongst other musings, I wrote this:
".....I think we are already relegated, it's just a matter of time before it's confirmed. I also think the mistakes won't be learned (because they haven't been this season) and we'll face an uncertain future next season too.."
As you can see if you read the (bumped) thread, a few were thinking similar. A well intentioned o p start thread now becomes valid..
After 5 years of hard work after suffering one of the most humiliating periods in the club's history (relegation out the league), in little shy of 18months and 70odd matches, we have imploded into a catastrophe chaotic basket case car crash of a club on the pitch, and mostly off it too. Everything worked so hard to achieve, gone.
The emotional scenes of Browner's right foot. The subsequent outpouring of more emotions and excitement on the Gloucester Road afterwards where every shop in vicinity had empty shelves of alcohol (pre Brexit) because of sheer indulgence and celebration.....we were back.... Bristol Rovers were back in the division they had spent most of their natural history!....all we had done was reset the league position to, 0.
If you've supported the club from last century, you might remember other good and bad times. Off, and on the pitch.
But this is today, now, here and now. I've invested time and money (more fool me) in the club from a very early age. This should be nothing new to me.... actually, this is my 5th relegation season, many of you may have suffered more. Or less. But it doesn't become any easier. It hurts.
What hurts more, is apart from the manager (whom you can insert anyone) showing emotion, it appears no one cares, is hurt, is affected and more importantly can see what this might possibly lead to...? I saw pictures of Oztumer handshaking Cowley with all round smiles post match v Pompey away!
There's been a dereliction of duty to the club I (and many of you) love. Players, coaches, managers, even some dignitaries have let us down. The fans..
I'm not saying we don't deserve it, far from it, we played v Pompey like we've played many a game....but why is Westbrooke still taking on 43 matches the same mostly awful set piece deliveries? Just one small point that sums us up. Poor. When so many have invested in the club to give it the best possible opportunity to succeed...
The club will turn to the fans soon for more funding. Season ticket, price announcement, merchandise, new replica shirts, corporate hospitality etc will be available to purchase.... many fans might ask, if we pay for football consumerism at a high price, how do I know my hard earned can be entrusted to be wisely spent?
The hurting has to start before the healing, and I wish all you Gas wherever you are, a safe healthy beautiful Spring/Summer...

Just 6(?) home wins since Garner took over with one of those being TC's 600th and another the post Tisdale Pompey win, so we've won just 4 home games when the players just had to go out and perform in a routine match. Barton's blaming our poor season on this season's preseason but we were equally as poor last season following GC's departure.

Barton has done jack to improve the performances...including effort and commitment As three managers have failed to improve the performances that would suggest even Pep would also fail with this bunch of wasters. The difference being BG assembled the squad with the benefit of two transfer windows and a close season, PT had one transfer window and JB none of these. I sincerely believe the two things you mention will be in evidence next term in a team where defenders can defend and strikers can score goals. Both of which were clearly not in evidence this season because the squad assembled by BG and TW was clearly not good enough.

Next year we face that goal machine called NICHOLS That puts in into perspective for me, we’ll be playing at a level where Tommy Nichols is a danger man.

JAB mentioned today the basics of staying competitive in the lower leagues. Be fit and be organised. In my opinion... GC did well because he had the players organised and fighting to the end of a game. Throwing themselves into blocks etc. The key is good organisation. Which is what GC did And Poor organisation which is what BG did. You also have to have players who are up for the fight. The current squad are/were.(with some exceptions) Not fit enough. Not organised enough. Not up for the fight.

We ve got exactly what we deserve 21 games, 21 games, 21 games we have not scored I'm not Fred Elliott repeating myself, but that is embarrassing.
There has been little fight from this team, worst squad assembled in history, and Tommy is still here Ffs, pirate on here has more idea.
Major transformation required NOW

Next year we face that goal machine called NICHOLS And Millwall Tone, if he can squeeze another year out. He'll stop us scoring, but a great reception for him at the Mem.

I feel sort of meh about it. It's been coming for so long it was probably better to get it over early. No last match heartbreak like the Mansfield game.

We have had hardly any of that since Barton took overIt's the players who play in the games, if they cant motivate themselves to escape relegation and save a wage drop then they clearly shouldnt have been signed in the first place. Long as they have enough for there tabaco I’m sure they will be happy!
