He was clearly talking about Daly, Hanlan and Ayunga. Exactly the point I was making! He was talking about the game, saying in his way there were no strikers on the pitch! Harsh on Rodman who should have taken one of his chances.

If you care to go to the page above, you will see Pirates post where he paraphrases what JB said. You are clearly wrong in your interpretation.

Have just re-listened to it, and yes I did mishear. Sorry.
There again the strikers could score earlier in the season, what changed?

DC has called ALL the players out for their poor performances across the season after the season has ended. He has not singled out certain players and has actually supported the group as a whole as the season was ongoing. Since JB has been here he has come in and slandered our players in the press at every opportunity whilst the season is still ongoing. As DC literally says, he knew there were bad eggs, but he needed a clean slate to ensure he got the job done and Vale stayed in League 2. Now is the time that he can clear out the players he doesn’t want there. Like I said. How people can compare the two is BEYOND me I cant speak for others. I merely pointed out his last post match comments mirrored what has been said about Rovers squad.Pearson has said similar over at city. He did mention in his fans forum that at least he didnt have p... players ( some word DC made up like he does at times). players that pull out of tackles and dont put the effort in. I actually think Joey panicked a bit when he realised how weak the team actually was. He didnt want people thinking the defeats were down to his management ability . He needed to tell everyone where the faults were lying. Even brunnel wouldnt have been able to construct the suspension bridge if his materials were a plate of spaghetti hoops. To everyone. The obsession on the forum comparing current managers to previous ones really needs to stop. Its toxic. It hinders Bristol Rovers achieving anything. The way he has handled the situation has been far better than JB has. As for NP, I don’t watch his interviews so can’t comment. The bit about JB panicking is exactly what’s wrong with it all. He has come out and publicly slated players already low on confidence. That’s why he’s our worst manager this season. Yes the team isn’t very good but the collapse since JB has taken over has been incredible. Comparing managers is not toxic and does not hinder the club. Bad managers and players do that.

It's been an awful situation since Christmas time .... People looking to blame everyone else, when in truth they are all tarnished by the worst season I can remember for a long time.
I am hoping for a line in the cement now ... JB exits who he feels is the deadweight and he builds his own team. Then he simply cannot moan at his squad, his backroom staff et al ... it will be down to him. That hopefully will make for more productive interviews. Hoping as well he stops bitching about referees and gets on with things ...
I think in JB we have a passionate, fiery, keen to succeed guy who will continue to make mistakes along the way and hopefully learn from them and go again... I can honestly say this is the first close season I haven't worried about a prized asset being sold and am genuinely excited about the players potentially coming in. I sense as well I will be really frustrated at some we can't shift and really hope JB doesn't bemoan a lack of wriggle room because of them.
We shall see...

Now that the season is done and dusted I am sure you are all glad to see the back of it but at least you can now start moving forward. One positive you can take from your results under JB is that you havent been taking hidings from your opposition and most games have been lost by narrow margins that suggests that your main problems are in attack just not scoring enough goals. Best of luck for next season and I hope you get some positive news soon on your new ground as it is vital for the progress of the club and could be the catalyst to becoming the dominant team in Bristol once again.

Changes ahead on and off the pitch it seems

Its worrying Barton played 9 players who are contracted next season and he rates Leahy and Martinez which makes 11 . However I think he said " I wouldn't pick them in school boy team " . So even if we release 10 plus we still got 20 plus left from the Garner so called vision. Its really really messy!. Sorry to bump this but, even if we did go up then we are going to have to have yet another reset as we have loans and out of contract and ageing players, who more than likely would not be up to tier 3. Whenever is the gaffer will have a big job to build a squad, which competes it tier 3

However ,you do get to build a side that can attempt a league won promotion challenge. This is obviously jumping the gun nassively. Bradford city and 3 points are the most important thing at this time.
