I will keep on criticising him, every time I come on here, as long as he is destroying this club. When he joined we weren’t even in a relegation position...we have been relegated with the lowest points total in the league, 10 points from safety, so JB took us from 4 points above relegation to bottom by 5( five ) points with a truly mind blowing 11 (eleven) points from a possible 48 (forty eight) I am not the one with a problem, it is people like you who are willing to tolerate this absolute garbage from the worst manager in the history of world football...and why exactly would anyone, any good be willing to sign for one of the most disliked, despised, reviled, disrespected coaches/managers/players in the game. Unless you've personally spoken to the entire football industry I'd suggest that last sentence is completely impossible to prove That sentence just about sums up the poster of it. An absolute total idiot.

A team full of giants who know the dark arts. No foot danglers who shirk a tackle. See if craig fancies coming back to start the spine with annsi Plymouth and Crewe both came up playing good football last season. Northampton came up playing a more direct style. So you don’t need a team full of giants. I think the one thing you do need is a big strong spine to your team, especially in lg2. A big strong center forward who can hold onto the ball, and bring others in to play. A big strong central midfielder who can win headers, has a good engine and does not get out muscled easily. A big strong beast of a center half who will win headers all day long.

11 (eleven) points from a possible 48 (forty eight)...I’m not the one with a problem, you are. I don't have a problem with JB, I definately do have with BG, TW and to a lesser extent PT. I definately have a problem with the likes of you posting ridiculous comments. One thing's for sure I will be at the Mem next season cheering on JB's team, no doubt by the way you feel you certainly won't be there and I am pleased about that. You won’t know either way...pointless post, don’t attack me, attack what I’ve said.

Care to comment on that?

Stop posting nonsense then you, amongst others, clearly have an agenda against JB and so Rovers generally given that he's the manager appointed by the club. It's time you grew up and accepted Barton's staying on as manager and support him though the summer and for at least 10 games next season.

Care to comment on that? Sure I'll happily give you my opinion, you wont agree but that's what happens on a football forum. Firstly am I happy with the points return under JB, categorically no but here's where we will disagree. I dont blame him for our situation, we have put together an unbalanced squad devoid of any leaders and relying on 3 unproven league 1 strikers. We then compounded that error by blindly stumbling through Jan without addressing the issue we all knew could ultimately cost us. JB comes in and to start with our performances improved we created more, played more on the front foot, pressed better and cut down on the amount of chances we gave up to the opposition. We then lost Nicholson to injury and things unravelled from that point on, injuries mounted up and what confidence was left in the squad evaporated. There is an argument that he could have handled some of the press stuff better, definitely some things could and probably should have been kept in house. Having said that if the pre season really was that bad (and judging by the fact we havent scored a goal from 75th min onwards in 44 of our games and pretty much half the squad are now broken injury wise that looks entirely plausible) why shouldn't it be highlighted ? JB has confidently predicted we'll be well prepared and have a proper team to get behind next year, personally I think he should be given that opportunity. It's now his team, his sole responsibility if things go badly in the first part of next season then I'll be the first to be critical until then I'm prepared to wait and see

A lot of people are saying to give JB 10 games next season and judge him then and a lot of people are saying we will start slowly next season because the team will take time to gel etc. So, if we predictably start slowly next season and are struggling after 10 games, then what?

Who do you think you are to decide when he should be judged, he’s had 17 games, 11 points, it’s not even pathetic! Why 10 more games? Why not 15? Or 16? I do have an agenda against JB and it’s a simple one, he should be judged on the same basis as everyone else who manages us. Garner, Tisdale, Widdrington all achieved much more with the same players but were universally slated. I’m not the one who needs to grow up, you need to work out why you like him so much, is it his celebrity, if it is, admit it because it can’t be anything to do with his performance as an employee of our club.

Tomorrow is the first day of next season and will give us a clue about what changes are going to happen. JB said in the post match presser that he will be meeting with players who will be ‘exiting the building’ he also said that he’s already met some of those not involved today to tell them they don’t need to come back rather than drag them in tomorrow to tell them.
Will be an interesting day but assuming he isn’t terminating anyone’s contract early I guess the sackings are going to be fairly limited. Any predictions?

Tough league, we’re going to have to go out and recruit physical men as well as goal scorers to make us much more potent going forward or we’ll get bullied. We wouldn’t even finish in the top 15 with the current squad. We’d go down again with this squad but it won’t be this squad. We’ve also got absolutely no idea whether Barton will look stupid after 10-20 games after everything he’s said lately and get the sack because we’ve had a terrible start or if we’ll be top of league 2. And It could be anything in between. I’m just glad this season is over , after wasting over £400 on I follow this season I haven’t bothered with the last 6 games and I’ve been in a much happier place because of it.

I doubt anybody will be sacked just players and, possibly, coaches, just told that they won't be offered new contracts and maybe some players told to try and find new clubs.

We are so lucky to have Joey at the helm. He knows exactly what he wants to get us back in League one again. We are in for a very exciting season and we will be coming straight back up, no doubt about that. He will get the crap players out and bring committed players to this club who will be proud to wear the shirt. The majority of the fanbase is behind him and I won't be surprised to see 8-10,000 at our first home game. Really excited for the future with somebody in charge who actually knows what he is doing! Hold on tight for an exciting season with a team that can score goals and actually defend. Happy days to come and the Mem will be rocking come August! That’s just pure guess work. You have no idea how it’s going to pan out none of us do we just have to wait and see. But I do admire your blind optimism. The hope hasn’t killed you yet 👍

Who said I like him? All I've suggested is we forget this season and just look forward to next season, as continually whining on every thread isn't going to alter the fact Wael's standing by Barton and there's nothing any of us can do to change his decision. If Barton's just as poor again next season I doubt many fans will be supporting him.

The main issues will be the type of players he's signed and whether there are signs of progress, if he's signed a load of youngsters and are still conceding goals due to ailly individual errors and still not scoring then it will be a concern!!
