On ability definitely. Bodin and Nicholson either side of a goal scoring striker, would be a great attack. Unfortunately can’t see him dropping to league 2 and unfortunately since he left us his injury worries seemed to come back. To much of an expensive risk. The thought is nice though

A BIG no from me, loved him when he was with us, too much of a risk at the moment

The single best winger I’ve seen at the club in my time. I would take him back in a heartbeat. He had magic to take over a game exactly the sort of player we need and I think bringing him back will lift the mood around the place

Offer him a trial in preseason to prove his fitness and take it from there, if he declines the offer it's up to him, but not sure how many league club's will take the risk if squad numbers are restricted again next season.

No ,Has hardly played since leaving, we do not need to sign another player to sit in the medical room most of the season. had to many of those in ther past, as for not wanting to drop into league 2 he may find that will be his only option.

We might have a medical room but it will quite lonely as we have no medical staff !!!!

If he could stay injury free think he would score 20+ In league 2 next season , but it just the “staying injury free” Bit that would be a worry so no , to much of a gamble for me

No from me. One of the best players we’ve had at the Mem but that’s no use when he’s crocked, which he has been since he left us. I’d rather look for the next Billy Bodin.

Definitely worth a look and a few trial games in pre season Absolutely. People mentioning his recent injury record have obviously forgotten about his injury record before we signed him. Take him on trial, nothing to lose. For the record, I think he will end up at a L1 club.

Dont think we can gamble on him, we have made too many errors in the past.

If a championship side couldn't get a tune out of him in 3 years maybe his injuries have now caught up with him? Not worth it for the wages he would probably be looking for.

If Wael is happy to pay - then sure man I seem to recall reading somewhere that Billy Bob was Wael’s favourite ever Rovers player, so the idea of him returning from that point of view is not outrageous. However if JB really has taken the reigns then I can’t see it happening from a risk analysis approach even if BB satisfies the “been here and done it” criteria. The other elephant in the room is do players actually like the idea of working with the potentially volatile character that is Barton even if approached?

If this was a different player with the same injury record we would all rightly be saying no way.

But he is three years older and has hardly played in those three seasons. Has had several nasty injuries including an ACL in that time.
