Might get the bus down to Broadmead to watch in the window of Radio Rentals or Rediffusion. Well, I used to do that back in the 1960s to see the football results on a Saturday. I remember the days when in broadmead at 4.45 on a Saturday there would be loads of blokes stood outside a tv shop watching the footy results.... Weird thinking about it now....

In a local bar in Ambert, wearing an England shirt, cheering the lads on.
Hopefully we can do better than the French as I'm sure the locals will take the proverbial out of me if/when we lose.

Well, I plucked up the courage to watch the second half, mostly from behind the sofa. Thought Pickford was instrumental as much as Sterling in many ways.
How it wasn't 1-1 I'll never know, nor care quite frankly. Could be that bit of luck which usually deserts us.
One point on VAR, understand the idea and it is usually a good thing, but I just couldn't celebrate the goals 'in the moment' as I was half expecting either of them to be chalked off.
Great feeling at the final whistle. Well done to all the team, one more ghost slain, still a few more left.
Can't underestimate Ukraine, if we do win I really don't want Denmark for some reason, just think they will have enough.
3 to go, you never know.

I’ll be watching with shithead Rich and Pompey Nick again , 4 games and 4 wins we move about , but 100% record wherever. Probably at mine this Saturday , German sausage on the BBQ and a boat load of beer.

Denmark since the Eriksen illness remind me of the Danes in 92- , playing with so much heart and determination if we get through and get them and that was a neutral venue I’d say 50/50 but it would be at Wembley so we think we can do it but it would be a tough game they are very good and play with so much spirit. Ukraine at a neutral venue could be tough first though. People say we’re on the easier side of the draw but every team in the quarters is there on merit.

I think we lost to them in 1983 at Wembley in a qualifier, Butcher gave away a penalty iirc. We were favourites to win the 1984 tournament but didn't make it in the first place.
