Quality signing , Barton definitely assembling a squad with players who are comfortable on the ball & look to play forward, I think we can look forward to some exciting football next season, whilst you can never guarantee results I think Rovers will be an exciting team to watch. I think we were all this positive this time last season, and that ended well... This time I am really optimistic that we'll have a storming one though.

Just listened to his interview . Nice to see the players in training today, Obviously makes up for the H and W game being off. Interestingly he said he watched today's session, was impressed and said how tough it was. Sounds like Joey's promise of a tough pre season was just not false words. Yes I watched his interview too. Must admit I am well fed up with our interviewer! Not only are all his questions the same no matter who he is interviewing but he also gives them the answer in the question! “You must be delighted to be here?” Why must he? He’s played at championship level and now faces a season against League 2s cloggers. Yes he ought to have enough class to waltz past a few of them but it’s a functional move to get his career back on track so probably glad for the opportunity but delighted?? Maybe not. another of the questions is “Joey Barton must have been a big influence on you coming here?” Maybe for some of the defenders it might have been working with Clint Hill that was a major attraction! Would have liked a little more that tells us more about the person and their personality, what do they like to do on rest days which piece of gym equipment do they enjoy or loathe what was their best ever game and why, proudest moment etc. But no all ten of them are delighted to get the deal done, JB is a big reason for coming here, none of them set individual goals but the objective is to help Rovers get back up at the first time of asking.

Last season with Garner in charge and the unbalanced squad lacking experience, I thought we may struggle, but this season made some good signings Thomas and Collins two of the best, need a right back and target man still, but with talented players like Thomas, Nicholson in the squad we should be there or there about at the top of the table come end of the season, if we can avoid injuries to our better players.Get the Squad gelling early on should be a good season. Welcome Lucas all the best for next season mate.

Definately agree about the interviewer. His script is so well rehearsed all the interviews last just over 3 minutes and like you say all the same questions, all in the same order.

For those who watched the series 'Vikings' -
Does Luke look a little like the actor who played Ivar the Boneless ?

Well, I’m excited by this one. You don’t have one season of League One football and two seasons of Championship football under your belt at 22 unless you’ve got something about you.
Sounds like it could be a win-win, he moves closer to home and his family and we get an talented winger for a season.
Welcome to Rovers Luke. Looking forward to seeing you play.

This is a real statement of intent signing.
I’ve watched this player a number of times and he has never failed to impress. Can’t wait to see him in the quarters.

In the video interview he sounds like a hostage who has been told what to say. Regardless, seems like a great piece of business

YouTube video looks great and looks a good signing on paper. Looks like he didn't pull up any trees on loan at Ipswich last season though?

Yeh...and their favourite colour and pop group. What car do they drive. Ibiza or Menorca....that sort of thing.

I totally agree with you here. Let's hope the guy reads this and mixes it up for the next signing. How about:- What do you know about the club? Who did you support growing up? What's your favourite sandwich? Who is your footballing hero? What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Really pleased with this signing, Coventry and Barnsley fans all rate him highly and feel he will "destroy league 2" could not find a bad word about him. When JB said it will be a whole new team next season he wasn't lying! 👏
