Also prefer a dark shade of blue. Design looks smart enough without seeing the front though. Why mess with the shade, I can't recall many fans saying they wished that the club would revert to the colour of the 2007 shirt. True. But there’s only so much you can do with the quarters without going mental and launching a Tesco bag kit or going mental and putting red on it.

Not a fan of the lighter shade of blue. I wasn't a fan of the 2007 kit either, but that didn't matter by the end of the season 😊 let's hope this season goes just as well!

Looks better already having the quarters meet higher up like they used to rather than round the belly button.

Then just tweak last season's design, the shoulder stripe would have been sufficient? I can't imagine Liverpool, Man U or Chelsea altering the shade just to try and sell more shirts. I was intending buying one, I'm not so sure I'll bother now, I'll just get my 2007 shirt back out of the draw and start wearing that again!

The colour of the gates gives a clue as to the shade of blue the shirt should be……
On the other hand, the ex Coventry players may like it…..

Oddly the very first shot where the "model" is holding the shirt, there is no black on the sleeve of the shirt he is wearing but as it moves on there is???

It must be that he is not wearing the new shirt in the first shot and then puts it on in the second shot

Fans will always buy the latest shirt, not sure there's any evidence that more fans will buy the shirts if the colour etc is changed.

I’m not going to search for it, but Gorringe was on record in previous years talking about how shirts were breaking sales records and selling out rapidly when distinctly different designs were debuted.

Going to be hard reading the names and numbers on a quartered back - presumably they'll be black or red.
Even more difficult when drunk.

If it was then why not keep shirts for more than one year and only change the sponsor (if required). Only speaking anecdotally but I can't see many rushing to buy a shirt almost identical than it's predecessor. Now I think about it, the last two we've had have been almost identical - we should've seen a big change coming.

As I walk around pal th one thing I notice for club an international teams … folk seem more than ever ta be wearing a retro shirt/old shirt, they seem more popular than ever displaying your personal favourite shirt of an era rather than th latest. An obvious plus is saving yourself money too 👍

It's actually impressive how much I hate it despite not really seeing it.
The shade, the strips on the arm, the coloured lining on the collar - looks to be one of our worst in a long long time.
