The Official forum had live chat during games but wasn't used by many. I guess a lot if the users were actually at games?? I think it was probably because the culture of constantly using mobile devices hadn't quite taken hold.... Could be that. I was on the email list as well |

Started on 606 in about 06/07 with the likes of Captain Jack Sparrow; then that ended soon after so over to the old official forum. When that closed the old AF and then quickly here with a bit of two timing for a while. Pretty much the same as me then I was The King of Wessex on 606 and Not606. |

One had live chat during games, which was a real hoot because there was no time to get your comment out there before it was outdated and lost in a flurry of new comments. Great fun though. 606 was good for inter-club banter. |

I started reading the Rovers forum when I brought my first laptop in 2000 (whatever one it was then I can't remember maybe called 606? ) then I joined the OF and started posting in 2004/05 and the joined here when OF got closed and this one opened.

Can't even remember the year but would have started posting in the late nineties I think. The Rovers and City messageboard and then the official forum. Wow, been a lot of water flow under the bridge in that time when you think about it.

It was real slow and disjointed in the early days.
What with all the parchment,ink and quills it was time consuming . You couldnt rely on the carrier pigeons to get to their destination either.
I was glad when GasTelegram started up

I don't remember exactly when I joined the old forum, but I believe it was around 2006ish sort of time, maybe earlier. I remember William Bloke, igoe4 and Angas and such like.
Like others, I really appreciate Gaschat and have spent an unholy number of hours wasting time on here! Feels like a dysfunctional family of folk I've never met. It's nice to talk random sh**e with a bunch of people also mad enough to be Gasheads like me!
