We need to bring a winger in soon as I reckon. I don't rate Gosling and monkhouse does alright out wide but isn't a winger. Martin is good on his day but that's one game in 3 or 4. Balanta looks good though. I'd try and get Gosling out in loan and bring in another young winger similar to Verde, not as easy as that though I know.
Edit: just realised I've written this in the wrong thread.

Althepirate, In answer to your question I would say that at the moment its a bit like "more of the same" each game in that as a team we look a lot better than the opposition. As regards scoring it doesn't seem to matter who we play up front as none of them really looks like scoring many goals. On saying that I still feel we lack something in midfield on the creative front. If Balanta was 100% match fit I think he could play in that creative midfield role but at the moment he has to be our replacement for LDV. Like many teams Welling were there for the taking and I think there were at least 6 chances that should have ended in the net so that is six created and most teams would take one chance at least out of six. I sometimes wonder if we set our strikers up to spend too much time running the lines and dropping off rather than staying on the last man. Certainly I thought that Goldberg could do that role but didn't other than the first ten minutes.

I agree its the method we seem to play which doesnt seem to result in goals. For me the front two shouldnt get dragged out of the middle too often and should play off of each other. IMO they are asked to play everywhere and it seems like very hard work to get nowhere.

And Matt Tubbs will be a GAS player. I very much hope you're right. That would be a brilliant signing for us IMO. Can't see it though. If true get your frock ready for the big dance
