Couldn't agree more PaulPirate, bloody women! What's next, women being allowed to vote? When will the lunacy end ๐ป๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟโฝ๏ธ๐คฌ shouldnโt be allowed, they vote for who they like the look of Why bring politics into it,two things that has nothing to do with football that always starts arguments, politics and religion Women and football is no problem so no need to go on about it,thereโs more abuse in pubs so why not #itsmypubtoo [ How to make yourself look stupid and irrelevant on an Internet forum, for once no need to mod as youโve made yourself look daft with your outdated opinions. #IwishIwasstillin1974.

I was jes wondering female footy fans Tilly, Purdy, BS10er etcโฆ. โฆ.. do you wish this type of awareness happened years ago? Is it long overdue? Could it have enhanced your enjoyment following th Gas? When I was younger I had a some "groping" type experiences in football crowds, from bottom pinching to something a bit more unpleasant, which I certainly could have done without. Something in particular started to happen regularly when coming out of the ground in a crowd, but I could never see behind me to identify the perpetrator. After a couple of times, I asked my friend make sure she walked directly behind me all the way out. Nothing happened to her, and it was horrible to think that it was either somebody who was usually near to me in the ground, or somebody who waited to filter into the leaving crowd, so that they were behind me. I'd like to think that people are more aware now, and that it doesn't happen. I was about 17, and I think that girls these days would feel more confident about calling somebody out if it happened. With regard to verbal comments, either about appearance or knowledge of football, I soon developed a repertoire of put downs, which usually made the instigator look stupid in front of his mates. I can't recall anything nasty being said, so it was just the cut and thrust of holding your own with a witty response, which didn't particularly bother me - dare I say that it was actually quite fun at times. (I think I would be cancelled in this day and age!) The only time I was verbally abused at a football match, it was by a female Chelsea supporter. Thanks Tilly, Iโm glad ladies /girls are now able to feel strong enough to speak out, it sounds like you did a bit years ago, but many felt they couldnโt whether thru shyness or possible fear of repercussions. I generally think weโre heading in th right direction, however this thread shows thereโs plenty of work still ta be done. I would respond to th roaster to attempt to discredit/embarrass him but I think heโs making a damn good job of that on his own. Thanks again Tilly ๐

It is totally unacceptable. One question I do have for you is: "Do you think the Gas Girls should play under a different badge?". My personal opinion is no and I feel that somehow belittles the whole point of my game too. Maybe I have missed something and the teams in the WSL play under a different badge. I think the kit is fantastic and would love to see the Man's team play in that kit also. I think it sends a fantastic message.

"Do you think the Gas Girls should play under a different badge?". It would be interesting to know whether they have that badge coz they couldn't use the original, or just coz they wanted a different one.

The badge issue could be down to receiving grants etc as a "Community club" run by the CT rather than being directly under the club's control?
Didn't the original Rovers Girls team disband for that reason, that's why the new team is called "Gas Girls" not Bristol Rovers Girls?

It would be interesting to know whether they have that badge coz they couldn't use the original, or just coz they wanted a different one. This is just speculation, but I wonder if they couldn't use the official club badge, because they're associated with the community trust rather than the club itself? Again, just speculation as I have no idea how this stuff works.

This is just the latest in a long line of views that are "provocative". You can block individual users posts but then it makes following threads odd as you can't see what other posters are referring to, unless they re-quote the post, but then defeats the object.
