Not a bad set of results tonight in all fairness. Glad Eastleigh lost as it is hard to weight them up with all their games in hand plus they have a lot of money to spend.

I think we escaped pretty lightly with tonight's results. Pleased with that. Could have been much worse. I'd like Grimsby to drop some points now, please.

All three games had fewer than 1,000 people there. Alfreton's gate was 442! How do they keep going?

I wonder why it needs such a high figure. I think that would be about £70,000 per week coming in. Edit: although I suppose my figure is only for during the season. Would they pay their players in the summer, I wonder?

Would they pay their players in the summer, I wonder? Not sure if serious. I am serious, but possibly stupid. I'm going on: your figure of 9000 people x £15 (say) = £135,000 per home game. Roughly £70,000 per week from the gate. Why would a club like Alfreton need that much? Then I thought that they would have to cover the whole year, including summer... then I wondered if part-time clubs pay their players through the summer.

Our old friend Tony the Till said that our break even crowd was 9000. But how the hell can some of these other teams survive on crowds of 500?
