I have to be honest I wasn't against the idea of Barton coming in and thought he would do well however now I am certainly anti-Barton. It's all about him and the "Joey Barton Show"! Hopefully he turns it round and gets us promoted by as of right now I am not convinced
I agree about every thread turning into a slanging match. But most topics are regarding either JB direct like in/out or court cases as an example OR regarding JB by association like team selections, results, signings - which he is heavily involved in. Unfortunately, there is literally nothing to be positive about and there has been very little to be positive about within the last 18 months or so as everything seems go be going wrong with on the field matter, fingers always get pointed to the manager. Our manager is the one who said he would save us from relegation. Our manager is the one who said we will promoted. Our manager said we will be ready for the start of the season (now have to wait until xmas apparently). Our manager said we will be the fittest club. Our manager slagged off previous managers for allowing a lack of strikers at the club but has started this season with less strikers at the club than what he inherited. So when threads are about on field matters and preparation for on field matter, unfortunately JB will be a subject heavily spoken about by fans on both sides of the JB argument. Then you get the off field matters which a few have been to do with JB and there are strong opinions on both sides. It is very hard not to discuss JB. It is even harder to discuss him without tension being raised and it becoming toxic. I agree that it really isn't a nice place to be.
I accept your own position and agree with you that is makes no sense to give the manager free reign then sack him after 4 games. I fully get that and Wael obviously views it like you do. But to me, my own position, when I can see it all going tits up and our club will be worse off for allowing him to continue onwards, I can't see the point in delaying the inevitable. Do it no which will allow someone more time to save our season. I have no idea who would want to come to us but we ill more likely get someone good now than someone good come January onwards as they will have more time to work with.
That's a great post with your points made in a logical reasonable way, without directly referring to Barton's numerous legal and personal issues.
Shows that it is actually possible to point out his faults as our manager without throwing yourself open to being called a 'Barton Hater'. It's a shame Wael won't read this. I was a bit disappointed you didn't include the shortage of RBs we now have, after a plethora of them last term, and replacing the youth with aging journeymen, but you can't have everything I suppose.....
Yeah, sorry about not including the RB situation lol
I will still be called a "JB hater" though because I have confessed a few times of my dislike for JB because of his "personal issues". But mentioning his issues just winds some people up and I don't have any intentions to do that, although I do think it is an important issue. But right now, for me, what is more important is on field issues and there is enough issues there to have huge concerns and have discussions to get JB out asap because he ain't good enough.
I'm not a JB hater. I supported his appointment but things are not going well. The excuses of blaming the current problems on previous managers is becoming tiresome.
He's had plenty of time to get a competitive L2 team up to the required standard. The results to date are patently unacceptable.

Once the window has closed and assuming one or two players still may arrive. JB will have signed enough players to make up a new first team and have enough other players to fill the bench. There can be no harking back to last season and before. He has changed back room staff and coaches. This is now Joey Bartons team.
Blaming others from september the first will frankly be weak management and a little pathetic.
Its now all on him ,i hope it suceeds and his new rovers set up does very well.
