I certainly hope for a win here. I feel this team, primarily Joey players, will want to bounce back with a performance to reward Joey for his confidence in them. A week on the training ground will have made a huge difference. We have some good players who on their day can cause problems for any team. Today could well be the day when we start are run to climb the table. Our goal is promotion. We are still only 3 points away from the playoffs. The dream is still alive. This team will soon have a run of victories that will take us to within a few points of automatic place. Today this team will step up and show their winning mentality. A good team performance, conceding no goals and winning 1-0 will be enough for me. It’s been a tough week waiting for squad improvements. A 2-0 victory would be perfect. I may be a dreamer but I’m not the only one. Bring it on. Happy travelling gasheads. 10 weeks on the training didn't make much difference last season. You must have a very sore neck looking too far back my friend. It’s really not good for me to do that and so I don’t. Happy forward thinking is what I do - feel so much better for it. Try it. Just to look back for a few seconds.,It was a different time with players who were not mentally talented enough. We now many new players to get excited about. The future is where I look.

I think the best we can hope for is a nil, nil or one all draw with our limited options up front. Maybe a cheeky 1-0 win if we are very lucky. My head is screaming defeat but heart still Hope's.

Safe trip to all those heading up north today. Whilst this isn’t a ‘make or break’ game just yet, a loss today will heap a shed load of pressure at JB’s doorstep! However, that won’t be a problem as we’re gonna ruin them! I’m feeling confident, probably too much sun. UTG

Tough game today. Would take a draw right now given our form.

Not sure why people are saying we have to win "at places like this" or there's no hope if we can't beat Barrow.
They're a point above us, on merit and will fancy getting a result against a disorganised Rovers who don't travel well, defend well, and are light up front.

Well someone had to start it. Time to forget about our past woes on the road and start looking ahead to a more fruitful future. That starts today against Barrow. Believe this is the first time we’ve played them in the league since 1970. Wishing every one of you hardy souls travelling a safe and pleasant trip, perhaps that will be rewarded by a good performance. I hope so anyway. To all you staying at home and refreshing this thread for the GOOAAAALLL posts, I hope fortune favours you too. COYB. Perhaps that was the last time I saw Barrow, at Eastville in March 1970, I think. They arrived in a little green old fashioned coach (even then) and wore faded red/orange shirts which looked as if they had had their badges removed from a previous club! We beat them, 2-1 I think. They were relegated and then relegated again a year or two later. Great to see them back but for today I hope they lose. UTG! edit: just checked 14.3.70 we won 2-1 in front of 11,229
