No ball carrying from midfield at all just aimless long balls from defence. I would change the formation now not working, swap a defender here for another striker.

Shockingly bad.
The only bit of decent play came right at the end of the half from Finley, but even then he played the wrong pass to Nicholson who had a lot to do just to bring it down.

We have the individual players but tactics are really limiting them. Change it up please JB!

Absolutely awful. Taylor and Evans look decent, but apart from that it’s awful.
No tactics, hopeless long ball had absolutely no midfield

What about Saunders cross which Pitman would have surely put away if he'd been on the pitch? A front pairing of Collins and Nicholson is simply too weak so not stretching their defence.

Crawley the better team so far. Too many long balls from us. No proper wing backs and no number 9 and it shows. Alfie has just booted it to their full back about 5 times .

Big difference from Tues for me is the lack of space our forward players have to run into. Crawley are defending very deep which is closing off the space we used so well in midweek. Definitely think there is a case for Clarke to come on if we're going to persist with knocking it long. Otherwise we need to start playing through the midfield and into the front players feet. As it stands they look a lot more likely to score than we do

Christ this is water poor. Collins looks a dreadful striker and Saunders loss. How on earth do Kilgour and Harries get in the team-can't pass wind let alone the football. Need either Pitman or Clarke on to LEAD the attack. Maybe drop Grant back to bring in an attacking midfielder.

Great crowd atmosphere welcomed the players to the the mem today.
Clearly a difficult first half attack wise and we certainly need to be more creative on the ball but the good news is that our defence has looked strong.
Although Crawley have created a couple of half chances, we are organised and proving difficult to break down. If we are to achieve anything this season our defensive duties will be key. A special mention for these three:
Josh Grant - chasing back, working hard, playing simple balls well. Looks like he is enjoying his football. Need for attacking threat.
Connor Taylor - domineering in his defensive duties, providing confidence to the players around him.
Alfie Kilgour - building his confidence as half progressed. Made a number of defensive interceptions at vital times. Pleased for him.
Clearly, we need to do much more going forward although we have had a few opportunities where a clinical striker would have taken advantage. Bit too much long ball for my liking.
Be interesting to see how the manager manages the half time chat and second half strategy. Rovers need to change something and react in the second half. Still 0-0 and so still in this game.
Football is a game of two halves say some commentators. We didn’t win first half but all to play with.

P?!s poor I’m afraid. Take Saunders off put Nicholson on the left and put one of the old Zimmer frame boys in the centre. Midfield, what midfield? Not sure what’s going on there. Oh well 45 to go you never know.

I really can't understand why he is still here, I don't like him at all, to many mistakes in him, he is as bad as Baldwin.........almost

Not sure we need Evans and Nicholson covering virtually the same position? One seems to be playing top of the diamond, the other a deep lying no 10, leaving Collins to battle alone against Craig and two other CB's.

It's hard not to conclude, whatever you think of JB as a person, as a football manager he is a bit crap. Hopefully he can prove me wrong and come out second half with tactics adapted to the opposition and a team fired up and ready to win (but I'm not holding my breath)
