My last trip to North Yorkshire was in 2012 (I think) to see York stuff us 4-1. We were dreadful that day. Mark McGhee was sacked that evening. If we suffer that sort of hiding today I have a feeling JB will go before the train gets me home. But I’m ever hopeful, going for a 2-1 victory. I was there, still wake up in a cold sweat thinking of Garry Kenneth’s performance!

Barton's done it again, coutts and whelan and anderson at wing/half back, wtf. Great! If they have any midfield runners they will open up our defence, pull Taylor out of position ie same as Newport. Hope Langlais gets some time.

Hopefully the the Whelan a d Coutts combination works today as haven't thus far.
Also I can see we're playing 3 at the back but who's the other centre half 😅
Or is he playing 4 with Anderson as RB 😩

The weekly guess of how we're going to line and in what formation.

Well he did say it would take until Christmas for things to gel.
Theory is, play every conceivable mix of players until one day it looks like it might work…..

I'd go with the following: Belshaw Hoole Kilgour Taylor Harries Whelan Finley Anderson Evans Nicholson Pitman Thomas and Saunders if fit to come off the bench in the 2nd half. Finley is suspended today. Cheers, I didn't realise that. At least the suspension is out of the way while he's building his fitness back up.

I see Hoole isn't on the bench, surely he must be unavailable, otherwise he would be playing at RB ahead of Anderson, surely?
We really need another RB, it's same story as last summer with an overload of LB's and not enough RB's.

Not enough height in that team, nor enough pace to get us up the pitch. Looks like we will invite pressure, might struggle to get out. Hope we defend balls into the box and set pieces better than last time out! We are missing too many players in key areas, will struggle to get anything today. But you never know UTG.

Looks like 4231 to me but we're playing with no recognised right back in the side or even the 18. Beggars belief how we can be so lopsided as a squad after the summer 'reset'. 3 centre backs on the bench and Spence nowhere to be seen (unless injured) makes no sense to me at all.

Can see us getting rolled over today I’m afraid. Harrogate are a decent side.

__________Belshaw Anderson_Taylor__Harries_Brown ________Coutts___Whelan Thomas____Nicholson____Evans ___________Pitman
Would be my guess. Maybe Nicholson & Evans the other way round.
Not much pace going forward. Need Anderson to get high up that right flank and Nicholson to run in behind.

Well firstly, I thought Alfie has done enough to earn his place and to be dropped for Coutts isn’t only unfair, but makes no sense.
Not only do Harrogate play with pace, which means they’ll walk past Coutts, we need some quick legs at the back. It also means there will be no creativity in the middle with Coutts there.
Pitman up front on his own again?
Whether we are 433 or 4321 we are in for a long afternoon and set up for another battering.
Does JAB not learn anything?

I'm worried about today. Harrogate forwards remind me a bit of Accrington 2015 (Kee, McConville, McCartan etc).
4-1 defeat incoming...

But I was also at York in 2016 when we beat them 4-1 with Billy B taking them apart with Lines running from deep. They didn’t know what to do. I’d settle for another 1-4 today, Nicholson can be Bodin! UTG!

The team look up for this one. Atmosphere building here. Just maybe we might get something. Always looks so much better at the game live than the comments on here. A one nil result would be great.
