We have now by hook or crook played ourselves back to BG days of no striker.
BG started last season v Ipsh!t with no recognised striker out of choice, and with one transfer window already consumed, we are back there!
We have never replaced JCH and will probably start the next few matches with no recognised league status striker....and have no right to call it progress.
I hope I'm wrong, but what else can we expect apart from concentration on the league?

Have a feeling that it’s destined we get to round 3 and Joey gets to take his team to Everton or Liverpool.
… although my head says we’ll probably lose 3-0.
Anyway, setting off soon with hope more than expectation.

Had a late one in the casino last night, long story short I won big, does anyone know how I’d contact Wael in regards to buying the club? From a financial point of view you would be better off going back to the Casino and trying to break even.

Think this is going to be a close one. IMO.. You're going to have an Oxford side trying to go up in L1 make a few changes vs an inspired L2 side trying to cause an upset. Think it'll be competitive and not much in it. I've gone for 1-1 but wouldn't be surprised if they won by the odd goal. I think it will be a close game either way, lack of a striker for us could be the difference.

The scoreline isn't at the front of my thoughts... more concerned we don't get any more injuries Oh come on Hugh!! Glory glory Bristol Rovers!! There hasn’t been much to cheer about last few years What’s the point of existence if you don’t dream of round 3 away to Spurs? UTG Yeah I know I'm coming across as a bit negative, but honestly? I'd rather we put all our efforts in getting back to league one at the moment

Strangely I'm not sure if not having a proper striker on the pitch will actually be much of a disadvantage to us in comparison to what we normally offer going forward. Obviously Brett was in good form and is a predator so we will miss his finishing ability, but providing Sammy and Collins can keep the Oxford defense busy with their running, which I think they can, we should still be able to offer a threat. Collins needs a goal to get his confidence levels up, he's a good player but needs a lift to get to the levels he was showing at FGR. Sammy is also due a goal. With Sion Spence and Evans, we should have enough creativity behind them too.

Being a Sunday game, can any confirm if this is available on ifollow in the uk? From the club website: "Due to broadcasting restrictions around the Emirates FA Cup - Sunday's game won't be available to watch on iFollow. Audio passes are available for both UK and international based supporters."

I think a draw is on the cards today, should be a good game, plenty of fight and passion. 1-1

I’m in it for love not money, I’ve got grand visions of installing a new 2 tiered tent and state of the art bogs that don’t flood with water.

Every thing points to a comfortable home win but it's the cup and there are always surprises, Roverdrive starting the thread is the first surprise! i don't think there were any shocks yesterday were there?( haven't checked all results).Bit of a free hit for us and goodness could we ever do with a decent run and a day out at one of the big boys, think Gas eds have earned it after last couple years, come on Rovers! Sorry to ruin that thought but didn't Lickle Lee's massive Sunderland side lose at home to Mansfield?

It’s the first round which like the second is merely an obstacle to the real deal of playing with the big boy’s. Tbh I can’t muster any enthusiasm and will be happy if we finish without injuries or suspensions. I long for the day forlornly, when we won’t have to play until the third round.

The most important part of today is we come through it injury free and put in a decent showing. If we got through and boost the coffers then brilliant. If we don’t. Never mind. Big game Saturday against the cobblers on what is a really really tough game. They are flying.

I think it'll be a bad tempered game, 2-2 draw, and we'll smash them under floodlights at The Mem.

Time for Spence surely today and how about recalling Young striker Kieran Philips back from Swindon Supermarine. He scored on his debut yesterday a natural goalscorer.

Dont worry about the stand, 50% of toilet users heading home after first half. Business.
