Scored again tonight against a league club for Worcester City. His goalscoring record is very good for a midfielder, several assists this season and is apparently a good set piece taker. A winger is probably the most urgent position right now or a a striker but I do think we need more creativity in the middle as well.
He is an ex Man Utd trainee. Came up through the ranks with the likes of Welbeck.
Could be worth a look at in January?

I thought that Salisbury one weren't bad - people are just looking out to overreact. Something that always happens when people make jokes on a subject where there is a proper discussion to be had - the overreactors are the ones who don't want to have the conversation because they don't want their rosy illusion shattered.
A bloke goes into a bar with a giraffe. After a heavy session for them both the giraffe collapses. The man goes to leave and the barman says "Hey, you can't leave that lyin' there". The man replies "It's not a lion, it's a giraffe" and leaves.

The problem is not the joke
The problem is the people who want to get rid of Clarke ,
because they don't want Rovers to be successful

The problem is not the joke The problem is the people who want to get rid of Clarke , because they don't want Rovers to be successful There are people on here who don't rate some of our players; there are people who don't like the manager or the board. But I haven't come across any who don't want Bristol Rovers to be successful. Except the odd red visitor. Bit of a mighty first post.

Personally, would focus on improving the right side of the team rather than the middle. Get your singing voices switched to max tomorrow Blue Boys ! Have extra beer - remember we are on TV and desperately need 3 POINTS !! Come ON GAS !

There are plenty who are so detatched they dont go anymore but there are none who want the club to cease. As for DC I believe its perfectly acceptable to back him based on our current league position and perfectly acceptable to be unsure about him based on last season, our problems as an attacking force and how tight this league is. I don't think (in my opinion) we will truely know how good he is until the season ends and maybe even after our return to league 2.

Three wins in ten is no illusion. A first team defeat to Bath City is no illusion. First choice strikers unable to score in 270 minutes of football is no illusion. I thought we'd already established the Salisbury thing was a joke?

Totally agree. We haven't had a right winger at the club since Anyinsah and he was poor, well apart from LDV. We've played Richards there Riordon, Clarkson Gosling to name just a few and none of them have done well because they're not right wingers. Clarkes done an ok job this season but the one thing he hasn't done is address the unbalance in the team enough. When he became manager he said we had too many players for some positions and not enough in others, it still needs improving. He should try and loan leadbitter and gosling out and get another right back and a two wingers.

I agree the wings are more important. The centre could still be improved too though.

Bit sad IMO.

Not to be confused with the people who want to get rid of Clarke because they DO want Rovers to be successful!
Just sayin'.......
