Maybe it's to allow for the possibility of extra time and penalties? Are there any restrictions regarding the time the floodlights can be on, use of stadium etc?
Maybe the normal l9.45 kick off could make public transport options difficult if it goes to pens?
It would be nice if the club explained!

However Yate Towns replay was abandoned as the floodlights failure plus 30 mins warm up would have meant a kick off at 9:04. Latest is 9pm. (Although Dover could have had a slightly shorter warm up and got on with it. They didn't, annoyed everyone and lost the rearranged game - karma)

Our tie seems to be the only one kicking off early, all tonight's EFL Trophy games, which won't be going to extra time, are kicking off at 7pm just to confuse matters. As far as the club explaining you sense the best we'll get is an explanation via Sam Frost.

7pm stupid time as a lot of people don’t get home from work until 5.45 and then a hours drive to the mem and then trying to find somewhere to park.

Quite agree with you, I wish the club would explain the reason for the time change . I am lucky that I retired early & it’s not too much of a problem but I remember when I was working getting across Bristol was sometimes a nightmare for a 7.45 k/o. Years ago evening games kicked off at 7.30 & were moved back to 7.45 to give fans time to get to the match. I hope people who can’t attend because of the earlier kickoff email the club & let them know the issues it causes especially with Bristol traffic & parking around the ground.

With JB's court case on Tuesday maybe kick off is brought forward because he has to be up early the following morning to face sentencing?

You are probably correct, I didn't look it up I was going by memory which frustratingly is becoming more and more unreliable

Maybe the Club could sell second half tickets. Back in the day, they used to open the gates just after half time. That’s how I started. Going off on a tangent but If we had a bigger stadium we could entice more people in with really cheap tickets .Especially youngsters get them hooked for life. They’ll pay you back tenfold.

Whilst I agree with you in principle, currently the the offering is the equivalent to a Class D drug (utilising your terminology above, and if there was such a classification), ie. non-addictive. Essentially, for the punters, football is a form of escapism and it’s a winning team that creates the high irrespective of the league or surroundings; just look at the attendance figures immediately after the Conference season. Get the on-field entertainment right, the rest will follow and that is the time to market to the next generation who will hopefully be invested in the club by the time the next slump comes.

Oh no you mean this isn't a slump! A disliked manager (personality wise), who has lost more than 50% of his games in charge, a very very poor home record, poor entertainment, FC arguments with the SC, Presidents club and YP, covid, millions of pounds of losses even after selling JCH, while Exeter and Plymouth have made million pound profits, removal of loyal staff, getting rid of the development squad, Manse, Parrinello etc, etc I was hoping good times will be round the corner once the court cases mean we get a new good manager. A slump from here would be national league and administration.

Just booked my ticket online the £1 booking fee has been removed for print at home 👍🏻 If they have removed the service charge for print at home tickets then every person who has been charged the £1 per ticket should contact Ticketmaster and ask for it back.
