Does anyone remember Barton's interview just before the Carlisle game (how could you forget it!) where he said about breaking the games into 10 game blocks and we need to make sure we improving in those 10 game blocks, he was under massive, massive pressure from our fans to go then and there was a poll on there where everyone wanted him gone but Wael came out and publicly backed him.
And then he said before the FGR how important the next 2 league games were and would pretty much dictate our season. Well these were the FGR and Port Vale games, which we have obviously since lost. I commented that he sounded a lot more stumbly after his interview on Tues night and not as bullish as he normally does. Just thought he sounded really unsettled.
For the record we had taken 10 points from the first 10 games. Now 13 points from the 2nd block of 10 games.
Is there some sort of review taking place right now? The next block of 10 games is going to be interesting with a busy Xmas period with so many players out still, albeit the fixtures look more favourable...

It's all on the next two for me. Win them both (which we should) and he'll have breathing space and I am sure be allowed the Jan window. Anything less (especially if we dont win Saturday) and the pressure to remove him will probably be too much. Then there is the court date.....

The last thing we needs a is a 4th manager in 2 years.
Every other day there is another thread about JBs future here.
We need to stabilise as a club, we have been sliding downwards as a club on the pitch the moment GC left.
We are in league 2 now, we are despite results beginning to look like a decent side with some bottle again and not a side that rolls over. I don't think we are in any danger of going down.
I am beginning to feel connected to the side, I see the effort that hasn't been there.
JB has had 1 window to find a group of player and like us can no doubt see where the holes I the squad are. In January and summer he will have chance to sort that.

I personally don't think he is under any immediate pressure. He relegated us rock bottom last season, rebuilt the squad with his own players and now we are 17th after 20 games. This is before you consider all the off-field embarrassments. Frankly I just don't see him getting the boot any time soon. I am sure he will be given the Jan transfer window and then the rest of the season (and beyond?) Interestingly I have just looked up where Bolton were after 20 games last season (as we know they had a poor start, but finished in the automatic promotion places). After 20 games they were 15th with 26 points (and -7 GD) and they finished 3rd with 79 points (+9 GD) We are 17th with 23 points (and -8 GD).. so very similar. But let's not expect us to follow the same pattern - Bolton's achievements last season were extraordinary and whilst us replicating that trajectory is not impossible, it is certainly very unlikely!

Wait for someone to feed you the myth that we were in a similar position in 2006/07….a quick check will show you that at this point we were 9th….we did go on a similar run under DC but we also had a striker who scored 27 goals that season and I’m not sure we even have a striker who’ll play 27 games

I think getting it 100% right in one window is a big ask given the size of the rebuild

I think getting it 100% right in one window is a big ask given the size of the rebuild Swindon's rebuild was bigger and they are 5th Sure nobody was expecting him to get it 100% right, despite his repeated promises of promotion, but I think we can all agree that 17th after 20 games is hugely disappointing

Reluctantly decided to give the next 10 games a miss. After getting soaked and frozen to the bones (and that’s in the stand) in a dilapidated stadium, watching cheating ‘footballers’, incompetent officials, spending goodness how long in traffic queues, got me thinking, at my time of life what the the f**k am I doing here. The season ticket is going in a drawer until the weather improves - a fine weather supporter finally.
I will definitely go to Wembley in May for the play off final and a 2-0 win against Port Vale.🙄

Thought the same - the guy appeared to me to be on a real downer - understandably.

I was in East Stand and it’s was the first time I’ve ever thought “why do I bother”. And that includes the Mansfield match. Wet, cold and horrible drive up and back. I got home just after midnight still wet and thought our players were stupid and why didn’t Harries head it, he’s a CH. Taylor can’t head and hit a barn door and Finley! Too many to mention. Match officials shouldn’t be in charge of a Sunday League match and players fall over at the least touch. Ill be back soon when I've recovered but I was really jarred off, for the first time in a long time and I’m usually a rose-tinter. (Well that’s what they accuse me of.)

What happens on 16 December assuming it's not adjourned or appealed will be the deciding factor in Wael thinking. A guilty verdict will almost certainly mean someone else will deal with the January window whatever the results on the pitch. A not guilty verdict will mean it's Barton's window unless results really go against us very, very badly this next few weeks. Only the fear of relegation would force Wael's hand if he's not guilty and I don't think that's likely.
