How Little Jon has the nerve to say they’re a stable club is beyond me.
It’s laughable they’re now trying to blame Covid for implementing a business model which relies on buying cheap and selling high, whist at the time spending close to 100% of turnover on players wages.

I haven’t the faintest interest in Rugby, but would be pretty grand if the teddy bears could become a proper European force and he sacks off the 82 mob for good. To some proper ropey business dude.

Makes me sick seeing figures like that, the money in football is becoming mad even at Championship level. It’s not sustainable for football as a whole.

Spoke to city fans on social media and most think no points deduction next year. I can’t see how they can avoid it seeing that other teams had it this year.
The CEO did a “muh Covid!” Article but didn’t that affect everyone?
I have a little dream we finish strong and go up, and next year we start strong and city on minus 20 ROLF.
How possible is this dream?

Never ends well when the manager criticises the chairman in public. Perhaps he’s seen how things are at the club and wants out. Either way, entertaining to watch! 🍿

How possible is this dream? City are unlikely to start on minus 20? Although if they start with a minus 12 it could be a struggle to stay up if they also lose all their best players. Although knowing our luck they'd just do a Bolton the following season!

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan believes Bristol City should not be cut any slack over a Financial Fair Play punishment because there is no common sense to their previous business model.
On Wednesday, chairman Jon Lansdown estimated up to seven Championship clubs could fall foul of FFP restrictions that require clubs not to make a loss of over £39m over a three-year period.
City are one of those clubs who are likely to fail the EFL's Profit & Sustainability rules for next season having posted losses of £38.4m following the collapse of the transfer market.

I love how they claim they lost £30 million thanks to covid and most of that would have been thru player sales - FFS 🤦🏼♂️

Apart from a handful of teams who are a bit more realistic in what they can achieve championship teams run at a loss aiming to get to the promised land. Bournemouth spent a lot when they got promoted to the Premiership. If they hadn't gone up they would have potentially been in a bit of trouble. Promotion = debts paid. Teams are prepared to take the gamble as it may end up at the point that a lot of the bigger spenders start on minus points so still a fairly level playing field and not much of a punishment
