Definitely MOTM for me, ran his little nuts off! Understand why Taylor got it, clean sheet, and was immense again today

He had another good game yesterday, although I would have gave man of the match to Taylor who defended well and brought the ball out of defence well. Although Thomas was outstanding at times, his end product wasn't great and her gave it away a few times early on. On one occasion he tried a Hollywood pass from a free kick and gave it straight to them, they had a promising break, but luckily they were rubbish. I just think Taylor was more consistent over the 90 minutes. All this talk about potential new signings. Keeping hold of Thomas and Taylor for the rest of the season will be key. I had a nightmare that Taylor was recalled last night! Hopefully it wasn't a sign! Regarding the Hollywood pass, it seemed a simple pass to one of the CB's to me but for some reason they misread the pass and just left it. As far as his end product, surely that was down to JB only playing with one striker, so Thomas had no choice but to go for goal? Thomas' spell on the highlights where he had 3 shots on goal is probably the best wing play we've seen since Bodin's better days. Just a pity Hoole's red seemed to reduce Thomas'influence on the game.

If we could sign him up, whilst it would be amazing to keep Nics and Evans, it wouldn't be a complete disaster if we then only lost Nics.
If we could keep these three together, if we went up, with a seasons worth of the team being together it could be interesting.
Yes I know so many if buts and maybes (missus constantly says I'm forever the optimist)

He was better even when playing with an injury last season.

Just a pity Hoole's red seemed to reduce Thomas'influence on the game. He had a great game, just saying I thought Taylor was better over 90 minutes. Thought Taylor was really good yesterday, especially when we were down to ten men. Lots of fans always give the wingers man of the match, as it's not pleasing to watch. The pass curled to far in front of the centre backs, all player's make mistakes though. The centre back couldn't really run forward onto it, as if they were beaten to it, we would have been in trouble. His chasing down was great and he's looking sharper than ever. Hopefully he will keep improving. It's good debating who had the better game, out of two good player's, rather than moaning about player's😂

I think we might have a chance of signing him permanently.
After his off field problems, as strange as it sounds, it may be better for him to join a lower league club and earn £3k a week less, as less distraction and less disposable cash to waste.
Moving back with/near his parents seemed to have had massive influence.

best player on pitch yesterday and his effort to win the ball back was quality even saunders who won the header for the goal most players bottle it

Has shown more these last two games then Nicholson who seems to be struggling with his first touch at the moment Agree. He starts ahead of Nicholson all day long for Me now. I can't agree with that.

I don’t think anyone can argue Thomas was streets ahead of him Saturday and should start ahead of him if the choice was between the 2 ? For what it’s worth I like Nicholson but unlike last year where he was our most important player this year he just hasn’t been as good. I’d rather lose him than Finley Taylor belshaw Thomas or evans.

Nicholson is a strange one as you'd think he'd be trying to turn it on now in order to secure a good contract next season, with Rovers or elsewhere. As it seems a bit early for him to already have a deal lined up.
Assuming Loft returns next week and either Nicholson or Thomas have to miss out, it'll be harsh to drop Thomas after yesterday's performance.

Firstly…. WHAT A WIN, GET IN THERE!! Great team performance and fully deserved win. How good was Luke Thomas again today, absolutely outstanding. Fair play to the young man, he’s knuckled down and came back stronger. He’s honestly got it all, just hope he keeps his head in the right place and we’ve got some player! When no-one else could understand him When everything he did was wrong The Gas gathered round about him And made that Thomas boy feel strong To be leaner, meaner fast and alert With tackles and assists beyond rebuke That's the wonder The wonder of Luke

Hope we see a bit more of Luke.

Or he has realised his contract is up in the summer and no better time to impress any watching suitors? Seriously though he may now be playing without worry re injuries, sometimes that can play on the mind mentally but I imagine the more games played the easier that gets.
