Twitter etc showing it's 6 years of Wael today? Can't fault the commitment from the bloke. Genuinely nice guy, very approachable, commited to the Gas, can we now consider him one of us?
Thoughts?

Definitely he is as keen as any of us, but with more money, if we go up he will fund to make us a decent outfit in League 1,ready for our championship return, mind the Gap, it is narrowing šš“āā ļøā½ļø Arch wants a Wembley play off final, but please no penalty shootout, could not cope with that drama UTG. Hope the stay awayers return as Tuesday was as good as I can remember, and I don't want this hi jacked not about joseph this is about Gashead wael!

Without WAQ, and with the last couple of years, I seriously doubt we would still have a club.
He gets my vote š

I met him outside the ground once
He was genuinely a top bloke, took photos with me and my brother and we talked about the game and then he invited us to join him in the club bar, where he took time to talk to other fans
For all his faults he has our club at heart
And heās stood by Joey which has taken some balls!!
Hopefully he has the last laugh on that decision
We are lucky to have him
Hereās to many more years with us

If you could guarantee a win at Wembley (if we get there) then there is no better way to go up, thanks Wael UTG

Without WAQ, and with the last couple of years, I seriously doubt we would still have a club. He gets my vote š Yeah IF weād lasted up to the Covid pandemic with Higgs which would have been very unlikely then Covid would have finished us / him. Iāve always liked Wael from day one and always believed he genuinely wanted to do the right things for our club and it was his brother holding him back when there were many doubts from others.

Genuine guy, Heart in the right place. Now getting rid of the hangers on. Could it be that finally we have proper voices to help him in JB and TG.
Canāt thinking he had the wrong people around him, looks like he has now sorted that.
Thank you Wael, the Gas is in safe hands, unlike a lot of clubs

Great bloke whoās most definitely a true Gashead. Shame we havenāt progressed more as a club over his six years as we all hoped and expected when he came in with his family. Weāre pretty much where we were when he started apart from the training ground and a few bits & pieces done to our all decrepit ground. Still no nearer a new stadium ( as far as we know) . Letās hope over the next 6 years we genuinely move forward on and off the pitch.

Letās hope over the next 6 years we genuinely move forward on and off the pitch. I think that his first year was more about hype than anything , we had momentum with DC and weāre glad to see the back of Higgs or at least most were, and we won promotion again which papered over the cracks that were his brother holding him back from doing what he wanted to do. Once we became settled in league 1 and the dust settled along with it the atmosphere turned a bit and many questioned Waels integrity which whilst I understood I never questioned it myself. It was quite obvious to me that his brothers heart was never really in it and he saw it as his little brothers obsession and that he didnāt really want to be a part of it. I think Hani was holding Wael back from doing what he wanted to do and then just as Wael had license to do things more his way Covid struck. It hasnāt been easy for Wael but I honestly think heās been trying his hardest to do the things that we as supporters want for our club but itās been one hurdle after another. Nobody ever said life would be easy and obviously running a football club during these times is bloody difficult but I think heās been brilliant for our club over these last few years. Ok he hasnāt built a new stadium but neither has any Rovers owner in the last 139 years.

Amazing itās been that long. Thanks WAQ.
I would love playoffs. Can you imagine us turning up our noses at that when we were staring into the Conference last autumn? Letās get real folks.

Every messenger message Iāve sent Wael was responded too. Once was about tickets. The other was thanking him for the incredible thing he did in paying off our debt, and I got a gracious reply.
It seems everyone in football really likes Wael, he has friends all over and to boot he seems like a family man who really loves his kids.
Someone has to be wealthy and some are humble and some are arrogant braggarts, and Wael is very much a humble guy.
Thanks for the Ā£20 odd million again Wael, you will go down in history as the most generous benefactor the club has ever known. Alongside the Dunfords. They kept the patient on life support but Wael cured the patient.
