Thanks for the comments and best wishes.Im not in here very often at the moment because of my present situation. After attending the away game at Exeter (which in itself was enough to put you off I contracted Covid for 3 weeks which started my health issues. Whilst hit by the Covid I came out in blisters on my leg and toes and two toes in particular got bad and I attended the doctors for about a month for dressing them and finally after that time i8 managed to see a doctor who referred me straight to the foot clinic as I am a diabetic. Unfortunately it took about five minutes at the foot climic for them to decide that I needed an operation in the next couple of hours to save most of my toes but more importantly my feet! I had the operation and managed to get away with the amputation of one toe on each foot. As if this wasnt bad enough within 3 days i was badly dehydrated and had to be put on to a drip as I couldnt eat anything at all. Things went from bad to worst and I had too much water and went in one day from 18stone to 20 stones 3 and feeling like hell and found I had contracted scepsis and suffered Kidney failure, liver failure and water on the lungs. I spen t the next couple of weeks in hospital on dialysis. My position n ow is that I am permanen tly on dialysis three times a week for 4 hours a day as although the liver recovered the kidneys have not. I have watched every game on VPN since i came home but have not felt like reporting on games that i only see on a computer. I can only walk short distances at the moment as my feet are now nearing healing. Dialysis is on a saturday morning as wellas a tuesday and thursday so I would not b e able to attend as dont feel great after it. My target is to get to a live game hopefully b efore the end of the season-Wembley would be nice!! My mojo is not a problem but it did make me smile. Thanks again.

Best wishes Steve for a speedy recovery and your back watching the Gas soon.
Have they given you hope that your kidney's will eventually recover their function or are you now on dialysis for rest of your life?

Good to hear from you Steve, and my goodness you have had a tough time. Best wishes for as full a recovery as possible - apart from the toes, I don't think they'll grow back.

Jeez Steve, that's one hell of a lot to go through. I hope that your healing continues, and that you will make a game before the end of the season. Glad that you are getting to see the games online, and hope that the boys give you something to cheer about most weeks. Take care. P.S. I keep an eye on how Tony Craig is doing at Crawley. He should have been Captain, and shouldn't have been let go when he was - you never had any argument from me about that!

Thanks for the wishes. Topper Gas it looks almost certain now the kidney function will never return. Sorry to hear that, although I've know a family friend who underwent dialysis for years with no apparent issues. Perhaps if you do manage to attend a game you can then do a match report to give us something to debate after a match!

Absolutely horrific. Stay strong. Like lots on here I enjoyed your detailed reports. I contribute to the players ratings thread for most games that I see and I have always tended to look at your reports/ratings before pushing the "create post" button as invariably there is something there which may make me think carefully about the fairness of my own ratings. Good luck for the future and hope that you can make it to a promotion party!
