Let me be clear I'm no fan of Barton the man. However, Barton the Manager speaks well here and I really feel we can go up if we keep our nerve.
Come on the Gas.

Really think we will win this one and comfortably.0-3 Gas.I also believe Exeter and Port Vale will drop points this weekend. What leads you to believe that top of the current form table Port Vale will drop points at home to Oldham, currently languishing in 18th place in the same table? Blind faith? A hot tip? Related to Richhertford? Oldham have won the last two games and have pulled themselves out of the drop zone, they'll be fighting for survival tomorrow so who knows what may happen, regardless if PV don't slip up in one or two games then they'll be promoted.

One word mate, desperation. This will be Oldhams first of 5 consecutive games against promotion contenders.Their desire for the points will be greater than that of Port Vale (who are clearly a better side) and that counts for a lot especially when your Football League survival and individual player livelihood is on the line.

Central defender Peter Clarke aged 40 who Joey had at Fleetwood will be a threat at set pieces Never forget the promotion run in match at Tranmere in April 1990 won 2 1 with goals from Geoff Twentyman and Ian Holloway after Tranmere had gone one up. Tremendous night on the Wirral. Was that when it rolled up Twentyman’s shin and looped over the keeper? I’m going to try and find it on YouTube now! Great memories.

Slight mis-memory, it was deflected and lobbed over the keeper. Rare Parkin mistake in that match, too! I couldn’t remember any from that period!

Rare Parkin mistake in that match, too! I couldn’t remember any from that period! Considering that was over 30 years ago and the tail end of the season, I’m impressed with the state of that pitch. UTG!

I agree with your words. I’m not convinced Oldham will win many of their tough games though but I fancy them to to pick up a win and maybe a couple of Draws along the way. Hopefully it’ll be in the games where we most need them to. Although for me it still feels like it’s in our hands regardless of other results. For now anyway.

M6 on a Friday is always a nightmare M6 every day is a nightmare, I am a lorry driver that used to drive to Stafford Sunday to Thursday until last week and that motorway has driven me mad, I have given my job up because of it, luckily there are plenty of jobs out there for me to pick and choose from.

That said I hope of course I'm looking at League 1 football next season. Are both of you hoping for League 1, or just the one? Discuss.
