Save the MT chat for the reptile section. As said above, Saturday is going to be another level! FGR barely selling any tickets, their first XI, bench & small band of followers going to be surrounded by rapturous Gas in an atmosphere few of them would’ve experienced at this level. Let’s give it to them proper! Who knows, we take the 3 points and they could still be promoted provided results go in both our favour. Double celebration in the offing? Quite staggering if a club who only need one point to assure promotion can't fill the south stand with their supporters when it's only a few miles down the road. It’s true. A good mate of mine is FGR born n bred, says although their ticket office team are utterly useless in communication/organisation they have still struggled to shift tickets. Mind blowing given what you’ve just stated. Chance to gain promotion to their highest ever level and they (potentially) don’t even have to take a point in order to do it. Perhaps those in the stands are ‘bottling it’ as the kids say😄 Also Shows how lucky we are to have Weymouth Pete and his team on board to deliver the standard of professionalism they do regarding allocations & the daily communication of ticket info/sales etc….

Not a dig at "small clubs" but surely selling <10% of your average home attendance for the biggest day in the clubs history with a short trip down the road is really embarrassing.

Tranmere who are dodgey away playing away to Stevenage who have a new manager and fighting for their lives. Win for us Saturday will probably secure a play off spot I think.

What is their actual allocation? More respect for yeovil, they would have sold out weeks ago,I just don't think the Stroud area is that interested in them.

FGR are top of the table and have been most of the season. Yet, they struggle to get a crowd of 3,000. Even in League 1, they might get over 3,000 only because a larger away support then league 2. FGR will not be able to attract new fans from anywhere. Up the road you have Cheltenham and down the road you have us and the reds. Even with their new 6,000 capacity stadium, FGR will struggle for fill it.

Does anyone realise you could fit the population of Nailsworth into the Mem with plenty of free space so I don't think they're doing so bad with support.
By the same token, going by the population of Bristol, we should be selling out for EVERY game!

Yes I think we all know that,to which my first question if I was going to buy the club would be how can we possibly achieve success with such a limited catchment area, even yeovil couldn't keep it up,surely vegan Vince would have been better buying us or similar elsewhere.

Playing by those rules, they'll have to build a bit of an extension on Wembley because the population of England is roughly 56m....

Hi all, an FGR fan in peace, there are indeed not many of us! 😉 Just to get a few facts across, FGR did indeed sell out our initial allocation 3 weeks ago! We have constantly asked for more from Bristol Rovers and it is your club that are delaying things. We finally were given some more tickets from yourselves and these were quickly snapped up in a few hours, we have requested some more and are again waiting for the Gas to supply us some more, and no doubt we will sell these out if you give them to us. There is no doubt we are a very small club at this level, but our away attendances have actually been okay this season, like taking 300 to Tranmere and 200 odd to Barrow. We will take about 800 next Tuesday evening to Swindon as well. Yes very small amounts compared to the Gas but decent in comparison to our home crowds. You don’t need to tell untruths about stuff, we know we are a small club at this level, however we will take a good amount to Bristol Rovers and we make a very good noise away from home. I have watched Bristol Rovers many times, we won’t be intimidated by your noise at all. I actually think you may be pleasantly surprised at our support though. Good luck the the rest of the season apart from Saturday and hope you join us in League 1 next year. 👍👍
