Feeling nervous and excited for this one. I'm going 3-0 Rovers, with Lofty scoring one in front of the Thatcher's terrace.

Vale seem to feel walsall are a bit of a bogey team for them. Quite a rivalry and vale will take 2000 fans with them. Hopefully Walsall can take a point or two today.
Northampton are at Leyton orient ,who after the Rovers home defeat and sacking of KJ have been on a good run of form. There is a fair chance Orient could bag the 3 pts.
If Rovers can win today it really opens up the chance of snatching an auto spot if the above games go our way.
The boys need to be focused , professional ,have the courage to shoot and have belief in themselves. They have shown they are capable of being the best team in the division.
Lets go do it...

Just had a look at the FGR forum. The two guys in there are arguing over who should start the match day thread. Oh how I laughed!

FGR are at the top of the league for a reason. ok so they have not had a good run of form lately but i saw them against Mansfield and was impressed with elements of their play. Their overlapping right back is fast skilful and crosses well so we need to keep him occupied and they look solid at the back. They have quite a light weight attack now but they are fast and will hit us on the break. Their midfield seemed to lack creativity and with the exception of the right back they were all about fast passing and pace. This is defintely a banana skin and i hope that our players are not as complacent as so many of the fans on here seem. We should beat them as we have a better team but dont write them off as i am sure that they will raise their game.

The feeling this morning is a feeling I havenāt felt in a while.
Feels like the biggest game since the Dagenham game.
Win today and the league table could look very appetising indeed.

Talk about squeaky bum time! I firmly believe we are the best team in league 2 at this moment of the season and if the players mindset is right and they apply themselves to the job in hand they will win today. As in any contest we need the rub of the green and players must not let emotion get the better of them and give the ref the opportunity to punish us. FGR are and have been top of the league all season for a reason so we must be at it from the off while showing patience if we don't get an early breakthrough. As in any game there are 3 possible results and none of them will mean anything conclusive ,3 pts will enhance our chances of promotion anything else will not, either way the season will not be over, good luck to JB and the squad you have been on a hell of a journey and you will not fail us now, up the Rovers!

Just tried to explain the enormity of today to my good lady wife. Had all the props out, league two table, Joeys pre match on you tube, salt and pepper pots to explain Josh Grants role, picture of a Pitbull to explain Coutts, tears in my eyes and she just rolls hers. Think we are done.

I'm feeling optimistic one minute and pessimistic the next.
We've been playing well and picked up a massive 6 points against Salford and Port Vale last week. Our home form is good and the lads should be fired up for a big game in front of a sell-out crowd.
However, Forest Green have been top of L1 from start to finish. They've won more games and scored more goals than any other side. They've only lost 2 away games all season.
Will they relax and rediscover their very best form now promotion is secured or will they be on the beach? I fear the former as I'm sure they'll want to top a great season with the title.
In a similar game between 2 form sides back in January, they won 4-0 at Tranmere, who had and still have the best home record in L2. Their players seemed to want to prove a point that day and I expect they'll see this as another opportunity to show how good they are.
They don't concede many goals - excluding the freak result at Barrow only 2 in 6 games - so I can't see a comfortable win, unfortunately. Don't expect either side to get more than 2.
Really can't call it. I think it will be tight and settled by a moment of magic, hopefully from Billy Elliot.
