Looking at our fixtures a couple of weeks ago I thought we would lose at PV and I was convinced we'd beat FGR but predicting results and getting them right is so hard and that's why the bookies take more money than they pay out! Also I did and still do think the Rochdale game will be extremely difficult for us to get 3 points and don't ask me why but I just think it's a tough place to go. Having said that if we were to win and results go our way then scunthorpe at home on the final day has the Dagenham promotion day written all over it! It would be amazing to still be in with a chance of automatic promotion going into the final game at home to already relegated scunthorpe with Ryan Loft winner in the 94th minute 😀 I'm away this weekend, but will be there for Scunny. Just hope we still have a chance of 3rd or could be a strange atmosphere. Important we finish on a high (and as high as possible) anyway, but could be a little flat I suppose if we are going to miss out it wouldn't be too bad to be all over after this weekend. It'll then give us one game to get over it and prepare for the play offs! Remember Accrington sitting in third until the last minute in 2016. That destroyed their morale which almost certainly affected them in the play off semi finals.

True, but very unlikely we'll be in the 3rd place and favourite spot Accy were at kick off on the last game. Chasing has advantages. Gonna be some shocks and twists in the next 2 weeks for sure.

Let’s hope we beat Rochdale as they got decent home record. 3 points is a must or else it’s the playoffs.

Yes unlikely. If whoever is third before the last game then misses out on automatic promotion, I would be putting money on them not making it beyond the play off semi final!

Swindon v FGR draw best outcome for us.Exeter will get to within a point of FGR if they win Tuesday so will be right up for the Northampton game on Saturday. If Swindon win they could well finish on 78 points and finish above us if we don’t win our last 2.
edit ~ Swindon can only reach 77 pts so a win and a draw for us guarantees we finish above them.

Dagenham and Redbridge...nothing is certain and nothing is easy and that applies to everyone at this time of year. Food for thought

Just did the footy predictor to get everyone to 45 games and I have...
FGR 87 Exeter 86 Vale 78 -------- Nton 76 Sutton 76 Mansfield 76 Rovers 75 --------- Swindon 72 Tranmere 70 Salford 70
If we can turn my predicted point at Rochdale into a win, it gets VERY interesting!

I would say I think Port Vale will beat Newport, but that makes no difference to our standing. Just really need Exeter to beat Northampton away. That's the weakest link in this sequence, and a Northampton home win puts us out of the autos. But I still think Exeter will do it because they are the form side. Depends if they are still hunting down the title or if FGR have won it and Exeter have nothing to play for. They might still win then, of course.

This has to be the closest end to a season in many moons. Sadly I predict Northampton for the third spot but hopefully the Vale v the Gas on a sunny Wembley afternoon....

Feeling that literally anything could happen, so many possibilities. We just have to get 2 wins and hope. Feels very doable we will and others won’t. Everything is crossed. I don’t think I could bear the playoffs . . .

If Exeter and us win both of our remaining matches then we will both go up automatically

Surely it's our turn to be third for a bit, all the others have, so in the world of fairness we need a go. I say our go should be 5pm on 7th May 😁 I'M CLAIMING PROMOTION IS DUE TO ME LOL
