Thank you.
I would normally be at the Mem for the Scunthorpe match but am currently abroad. I would expect NOT to be able to iFollow it if I was in the UK (but not at the match!) as I often do for away matches midweek. Will I be able (and if so, how?) to just book and iFollow the match from abroad?

I've never done it, but I would presume that you log on to book the match in the usual way, and your vpn will show that are abroad so you will be able to book visual instead of just audio. Hopefully some of our overseas posters can give you the definitive answer - hope you get it sorted.

Don't need a vpn abroad as your ip address will show where in the world you are.

Not sure it is that easy. I have tried when I have been on holiday abroad and not been able to. The reason given was that I was using a UK bank account - obviously as it is the only one I have! Hope you have better luck.

I watched the Rochdale game on i-follow in Lanzarote on Saturday. Log in process was exactly the same as for matches in the UK and the commentary was via Radio Bristol.
Only difference was that the Euro/Sterling exchange rate made it cheaper!

It depends where you are. 5 years ago we were in florida and it wouldn't allow us to watch I had thought it was available to anyone out of the UK

I think in the early days you had to have a foreign address to watch.
However you should be able to just go and buy it no VPN required.
The VPN is to trick the website into thinking you’re based somewhere outside of the UK.

I used it recently in Africa. Just bought the pass as I would for a midweek game here and it worked fine. It was quite a stressful watch though - the Tranmere game on dodgy wifi that kept cutting out - but a great goal from Billy made it all worthwhile in the end!

A lovely Rovers supporting couple were at the same hotel. If you’re on here let me know! Would be great to keep in touch. The man gave my son a Rovers cap which is almost permanently attached to his head! He’ll never forget that, and neither will I. Great people.

I had issues when in Europe with iFollow as I was using my phone. Somehow, even though I was in France, it interpreted that I was in UK (on Vodaphone).

You obviously used your phone before without clearing the cache and refreshing. No different than using a vpn in the uk, if you have used your device before you will still need to refresh.
