Wearing my Gas shirt at the Exeter victory parade this evening.Seems Muff is the long awaited game for them .Been so close many times Exeter with play -off disappointments so good to see their celebrations.A one team City so the couple of thousand fans all packed into the Centre making it look good. They tonked us down here but we are a different team since then. On a different note the two ex Gas managers meet in the play off Sat and I know who I want to win that one.

I'd like Wednesday to go up, but would also like to play them next season.

32,000 at Hillsborough. That's a great crowd for L1 but 7,000 short of a sellout, which surprises me since games don't get any bigger than Sheff Weds v Sunderland at that level.

Hillsborough next season it is then.
I remember the last visit, taking the lead and a nice little 1-0 early doors before they absolutely destroyed us before half time. I knew then it was time for Trolls to go, that was December 2010 and eerily similar to the way DC departed with a torrid first 5months of the season 8 years later.
Looking forward to another visit to Wednesday, hopefully it isnāt a Tuesday night and takes a huge chunk off of our away support. First competitive game in 11 years against the Owls, weāll take over 2k easy. More if weāre doing well!

Exciting times for fans of play off contenders, some would not have expected to be in contention. Luton for example, not long ago they were in the National league! could we be about to follow there example? they have momentum and Tom Lockyer! Forest on fire though and would be favourites i think. Got to hand it to Wycombe, yes I know we have history but they got there against the odds couple years ago and they could well upset the apple cart again, Hanlan was the only player we lost who I would loved to have kept, done well there but did not see his name in squad for semi, injured? In league 2 just gotta go for Vale for obvious reasons, will have been boosted by result at Exeter and hope they do it.

When you watch the League 1 play offs you see immediately the step up. All 4 clubs looked very strong and surprised MK didnāt beat Wycombe. Whatever we will need to strengthen. Come on Port Vale, do it for Darrell.
UTG!

Scott Twine is also a talent though with MK losing he may go. But MK a good example of improving year on year since I saw us beat them in October 19 (I think) at the Mem. JB watching that will have given him food for thought. UTG!

What vision and weight of pass from Bannon for the Wednesday goal, pure class! Twine has been ridiculously good this season.

Frustratingly Swindon seem the form team and I can see them getting passed Vale - both away wins maybe?
Mansfield to beat Northampton ... ( Mitch Pinnock in the Quarters next season anyone?)
Swindon v Mansfield final .... dislike both clubs so doesn't matter who gets the win.

I've been thinking about these league 2 playoffs and I couldn't call it as I think all 4 are closely matched but I want to put my neck on the line so here it goes...
Mansfield vs Northampton - Northampton ended the season in better form but ultimately have a big mental barrier to overcome after losing out on the last day of the sesaon in unfortunate fashion really. I think Mansfield might edge it.
Port Vale vs Swindon - 2 ex gaffers of ours in charge. I feel Garner's Swindon have played some good stuff this season to pay them their due but I'm not sure Garner has the personality to get across to these players to do it in a knockout format like this where the pressure will be on. I think they might crumble. DC, on the other hand has come through a very difficult period in his life and I think the players will run through a brick wall for him. Port Vale had a bad spell of 3 defeats on the spin leading in to the Exeter game but that win should give them a lot of confidence and I think DC returning could give them the boost they need to get over the line. He also has playoff winning experience (hehe!) and I think Mansfield could run out of steam after having so many games in a short space of time at the end of the season. I will be so pleased for the bloke if this does prove to be the case.
Feel free to bump the above if I look a tit as both matches could easily go the other way.

Swindle have the best away record in the league and an ok home record. It will probably be decided on how good a result Vale can get at the county ground.
Sw 1 vale 1 Vale 1 sw 2
Is unfortunately how it may end up.
The Northampton game is more tricky. Depends how they react to missing out on the final day. Should mansfield take the lead the cobblers may lose their composure.
Man 2 nor 0 Nor 1 man 0
Swindon v Mansfield final. Ollie clarke winner clinches promotion.

Can you imagine if we'd had Swindon in the play offs? Let's not go there!
Vale v Mansfield in the final , ie Clarke v Clarke!
Vale to go up
