I fully applauded his desire and effort whilst at Rovers . His attitude was refreshing amongst so many that shirked responsibility. When you look at the promotion team last season. You can pick any player and admire their individual contributions. However what made them great was how they helped improve the players around them. For example. Belshaw looked so much better when he had CDs that could pass the ball in front of him. Taylor looked even better when Connelly played alongside. Coutts/whelan made the defence calmer/better on the ball as they always gave them short pass options. Collins looked better when Evans played ,due to his quick thinking and passes. McCormick looked good as an individual but did he improve any other players game ? The answer could well be "yes" but it should always be asked. That is the key (in my opinion) if you want to build a successful team. Given most of his team mates were allegedly chewing tobacco perhaps then there's a good reason none of them improved? If the rumour does have any legs then I bow to your better knowledge of a player than JB. Personally I'd be delighted if he returned. Nice. The simple question was ,did any players game improve due to LM playing. A team of individuals gets nowhere. JB will sign who he thinks will be an asset to the team. Raising a question does not make my opinion better than JBs ,thats a weak comeback. Chewing tobacco..yeah silly for players to do that. Back in the 50s it was fags and a pint before the game. That still doesnt change whether Alfie Biggs played better because Geoff Bradford played.

I am getting a but fed up of this patron stuff. Seems you see it so often now. I could understand if it were for a worthy cause but not for rumours. Totally agree mate, fortunately if you just press on the link then on his profile pic it pretty much gives you the full details anyway without having to pay. But I agree it's a bit pathetic, anything people are able to monetise they will nowadays. This is exactly what I thought until I got the opportunity to be irrespective of the economy crisis and financial conditions I am still able to earn $19,500 returns from my initial $6,500 every 10 days. Crypto investment is the really profitable. Click please here. UTG!

A replacement for Evans being lined up should he leave?? Possibly, but I think he’s also capable of playing a bit deeper alongside a holding player in midfield. Good on the ball to be a capable playmaker but also has the defensive work rate to play a box to box role. Not just the haircut and the Chelsea link, but he reminded me a lot of Conor Gallagher (at Palace last year) when he was here.

The kid has been pretty much POTS for us and Wimbledon in his first 2 seasons. I'd be thinking how good can he be with better players around him, something that has been lacking for him so far.

I really liked McCormick, he ran his backside off when we were relegated and he wasnt even "our player". Would have liked him better if he stayed with us though, Wimbledon werent exactly a good bet considering he was touted for Millwall.
The truth is we need players in midfield as we have lost Whelo, Thomas, Nicho (TBC) and E. Anderson. He fits the bill nicely and i'd have him back his energy and experience at this level is worthwhile. I dont think we'd be as reliant on him this time round which would force him to improve.
Of course i'd sign him but its early days and we shouldnt panic. One thought on the fee required - remember we paid for Loft.

Imagine we'd have to fork out at least £100k for him. Whilst i'd love to see him back, a free like Camps would seem more sensible?

Would be a great addition .... Energy levels are excellent, good shot on him and working alongside JB and the coaches he would get even better.
Fingers crossed we sign him.

If we could pick up LM for free/small fee then I would be very keen. I think he would be a decent midfield option with a lot of potential. We would have to try and keep him under contract so we can cash in if he flourishes (and not lose for a free, like we might with Evans).

Being decent for us and then the Dons suggests L2 is too low a standard for him, it's hardly his fault the that players around him weren't up to L1 football. Gets my goat as I am a Connolly too and people spell it with an e instead of an o. I resort to saying I am a nolly and not a nelly. 🙄

Wonder if they'd lower their asking price if we chucked in Westbrooke as part of the deal so they guarantee a replacement?
Hmmm actually could that raise the price 😬

2 seasons...2 relegations. Maybe he needs to play at league two to earn his stripes. Had plenty of energy and effort and adequate ability. Did he also bring out the best in others around him ? Not sure on the latter. With Elliot A ,Luke T departing and sam N and Anthony E still considering options. There are spaces available to fill. Young lad who played in a dross team here tbh. Wimbledon were also close to going down when we did.

That would be dependent on salary earned. You would imagine Camps is on a higher wage than McCormick as Fleetwood are good payers,so if he was on or wanted £2k more per week than McCormick, that would total over £200k on a 2 year deal.

Of course. The point was you may have to pay less up front but longer term it could cost you (Wael) more. Camps is a good player and will be on the radar of a lot of clubs.

Media stories like this are nearly always helpful when negotiating contracts with players (like Anthony Evans) who are undecided whether to stay with us and build on our progress or take a chance somewhere else.
Knowing that the club is looking at other options should help to encourage players who are undecided to make the decision. This story is also a distraction that gets fans looking over there (at Mccormick transfer) while the club is doing something even more remarkable. Let's see.
Good that we have back ups. We wait to see what this week brings. I have huge confidence in our club and the decisions they are taking.
I wouldn't be surprised if Mccormick didn't join us. I have a feeling and hope that many of last seasons team that we want (including loanees) will stay with us.
Let´s see.

I really don't think it's McCormick or Evans necessarily. Joey needs a lot of CMs for his system and it's clear McCormick was doing really well under him. It's a no brainer to try and bring him back if possible.
Funny the difference a year makes - was desperate to keep him after relegation.
