This is immense. Can’t believe how much demand there is for the first game of the season. A very different FGR too. I fully expect us to win and by a decent margin

I love a compact Mem it's home not a soul less out of Town stadium. Stay at Bs7 redevelopment the key forget the Fruit Market awful location no pubs and major parking problems in that area. I would prefer to have a rebuilt mem but it is not going to happen. Of that i am sure. Great atmosphere but parking can be a ballache. I’m fairly confident the mem would be part of any deal for a new stadium

I think that FGR will have the away terrace and 250 seats in South Stand. This equates to 10% of ground capacity. Which will mean that 500/600 seats will become available to Rovers but not until the week before the match.

Feel the same and use that route often. IF it is to be that area then i am guessing roads would change and much more. No point in me stressing though as who knows what could happen in the time it takes to build it ? Just speculation but i reckon 5 years if quick. I’m sure my preference isn’t going to make any difference 😂

Doesn't that involve going through planning again?

Only 75 tickets available.

A new era beckons.
The days of last minute.com purchases may be a distant memory.

I hope the club let people know through a wide range of mediums.
If you go on Twitter or the forums that is fine, but I bet there are a fair few hundred fairweather fans that might "just turn up" as it is the first game of the season.
I am not sure if it has mentioned it as a news item on the official website.
It should be easy to contact the press association to ensure that even the nationals show the game as sold out on the fixture lists for the weekend papers.
Believe it or not young uns, some people are not glued to their phones and unfortunately The Sun maybe their only source of "up to date" news.
No doubt there will be people who do turn up without tickets (after all when is the last time we have had a sell out first game of the season - the first game at the Mem was about 4th of the season) and the club will get stick for not sending personalised letters direct to the door, phone calls and emails three days in advance to let people know.

I don't think that the national press ever show whether a game is sold out. I'm sure the Evening Post will mention it many times, and apart from the various social media outlets I'm not sure what else the club can do. From memory, the first 8 games back at The Mem were all ticket, with no sales on the day, as required by Avon & Somerset's finest, and fans coped with that.
