Looking at the Gofundme page, there have been around 1,500 donors and that includes players, ex players etc., With a fan base like ours there must surely be at least another 2,000 - 3,000 who could donate a fiver ? I don’t know if this is a bit harsh but although the club, players, ex players and fanbase have been fantastic with this I’m a bit disappointed with the wider football community. I see lots of clubs have retweeted, said well done and given clapping hand emoji’s etc but have many actually made any financial donations? What happened to Nick could have happened to any EFL player and a bit of solidarity would have been nice and although times in football are tough there will be money sloshing about at this time of year which will get wasted on greedy agents and the like! Premier league sides could have done something - urging donations from their huge fan bases for one. The prem players could have done something too, I know they will be getting asked to donate or support various charitable causes all the time but this is “one of their own”, a fellow football pro. Many of them will have played lower levels and know the wages are low, many will have only been a whisker from still being an EFL players themselves. Wouldn’t it have been great for a Jordan Henderson or a Declan Rice to have rallied their players to make a collective donation? It's an awkward one as many other players probably pay funds to a charity of their choice on a regular basis. I know the international appearance fees do go to charity. You would have hoped that all the relevant football organisations would have a 'pot' of some sort for when something affects one of their own a donation could be made. Whether that is to the player, family or a charity that funds research into the illness is open for debate. Look at the money the premier league pull back from unused parachute payments from relegated teams that come back up.

If you want to be part of this the club are trying to sort barbers to be at the Wycombe game and you pay £16 for the haircut with all monies going to Nick Anderton.Cuts will be done in the fan zone (weather permitting I would imagine).Being arranged at short notice so I’m not 100% certain yet but will update soon when/if I get the nod from the club.

Fantastic idea! A City fan is getting his head shaved in the bar at 1 p.m. on Saturday - his wife, and her family, are Gasheads. Fair play to him.

My daughter has been inspired by the players and staff getting their hair shaved off and has decided that she wants to do her bit too. She’s been growing her hair since she was born (she’s now nearly 10) and in support of Nick and also the Little Princess Trust (who make wigs for children with cancer) she’s decided to have 16 inches of her hair cut off! All money raised will be split 50 / 50 between Nick and the Little Princess Trust. Any donations would be greatly appreciated…. www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/i-am-having-16-inches-of-my-hair-cut-off

Amazing effort by the whole club, we'll done BRFC for a brilliant cause. I loved the look of terror on the faces of grown men having a haircut, hilarious 😂.

That's a great video - kudos to Sam Frost for joining in. Frow watching this, and JB's video on Instagram, you can really see how bonded this group is - players and staff. Nice to see JB's boys there, also getting the crop - had to laugh when one of them asked if he could have some lines or something shaved into his hair, JB - "No, you'll have to talk to your Mum about that".
