Got last week's result right and I fear I fancy my chances again - 2-0 Burton.
Until we get some extra bodies in I can only see us continuing to struggle.

I’m going for an optimistic 2-1 win. We played poorly last week, nobody can argue that. Yes we’ve not had the transfer window we wanted (yet) but we still have some excellent players but most were not at it last week. They will be desperate to put things right and they’ve shown before they have the ability to bounce back.
Marquis to get off the mark and an Evans screamer !!!

A more direct, not passing from the back style makes me think he will play Kilgour. I’d prefer this to Sam Frosts predicted team. Collins and Marquis up top means both Anderson and Saunders can still play.

I wonder if they know something or just guessing? Seems an odd and drastic deviation from the system that has served us well.

With the lack of player options in midfield we might see an unexpected formation today. Maybe a back five. Possibly a back 4 with one of our defenders moving into a defensive midfield position .
With JB saying a different style more direct expect a Coughlin type lineup perhaps.
We could sit really deep and play Saunders as a loan striker. With a quick ball forward for him to outpace defenders on counter attacks (?)
Going to be interesting.
Very unlikely scenario...but... What happens though if this direct approach leads to a 6-0 rovers win ? Do we then abandon it .
Do we think the mystery tweet player was actually signed yesterday and JB said to keep it quiet to give us an advantage of sorts. Hence the pulling of the tweet.

Does JJ still play for them?

Good luck Tilly, as you say it would be just like Rovers to confound their critics and come away with 3 points, think your positive vibes will energise the team to surprise a few today.

Does JJ still play for them? Wasn't he at Mansfield last season?

Pretty sure he'd have to be recorded on the EFL website if he'd signed, although if it's Gordon I doubt Burton will be worried if he plays or not!

I'll be surprised if he doesn't play Loft today as he will be needed defending set pieces.
Can't see him leaving Marquis out either, so Sam frost could be correct about that.

It may not be an easy watch today.
Strength, power and physicality are awaiting.
The loan players Burton have signed add to this.
Long throws, crowding the six yard box and direct long balls are part of the game plan.
A tough test awaits the defence today.
Burton are beatable but a battle lies ahead.

I'll be happy enough with a draw.
I can still see in my minds eye, Matt comfortably heading FGR in front.
I support Joe's strategy of biding his time in the market for good uns.I accepted the possible 2 or 3 steps back before we step forward.
Thing is with Pompey, Barnsley and Oxford coming up before the transfer window closes,we may take 4 or 5 steps backwards, before stepping forward.
Time to hold our nerve.

Tough call today - we’re lacking bodies and have a young ish defence and Burton are a typical physical and direct side that we tend to struggle against. Add in that we’ve never won away at the Pirelli then it doesn’t bode well…. BUT (perhaps stupidly!) I think we’ll win - 3-1…
I think we’ll see a change in formation with 3 at the back…
Belshaw
Gibbo Connolly Hoole
Anderson Evans Finley Saunders
Collins
Loft Marquis
3-4-1-2 or 3-4-3 formation
Potentially could take Loft out and put Collins with Marquis and then bring Jones in to play behind the front 2….
I think Kilgour isn’t fully fit so expect to see him on the bench…

Will be watching again from Tenerife….
Little hope for today against a horrible bully boy side that I think will go down this season.
Will be good to see how our young CBs cope …
Vital we keep 11 on The pitch as they will get after Sam Finley big time.
A day for Ryan Loft to be involved from the start and give as good as he gets up front.
Burton on a bad run stretching over to last season we all know by now what that means …. We simply have to scrap and ironically this could have been a game for Trevor C as he has a decent crunch in the tackle for sure…
We will learn a lot about this group today - A win would be awesome but …. Burton 3 Rovers 0 - JB to tell us after we thought we were close on one but it fell through as the hand sanitisers in the toilets hadn’t been refilled since last May and there are still over 20 days to bring in the now 8/10 we need.
Holding our nerve has never been so uncomfortable…

Struggling to find many reasons for optimism.
The squad is so light on numbers we can barely put 11 pros on the pitch and the manager openly admits we need 8 new additions.
We're missing Grant, Anderton, Rossiter, and Coutts. At least 2 of them would have probably played if fit.
Finley will be rushed back but is not likely to be at his best and may not be 100%.
Last week's performance was very poor. Got cut open countless times and offered no threat going forward.
Until we make some quality signings we'll continue to struggle. 2-0 Burton.

Because it's Tilly starting this, I am going for a win! No ideal on the score.

Optimistic with no apparent reason, simple 1-0 Gas then onwards and upwards.
