It is quite funny that people on here make a judgement about players after very few games for the club. Is that judgement you talk of about Loft, a player you said last April "hasn't looked very good so far"?

If we'd drawn Fulham then no doubt it would have been another sell out and possibly also shown on Sky, so potentially £250K+ thrown away, which I believe is what Swindon made from the Man C tie last season.

As a stat out the 15 ties between clubs from other divisions last night 12 were won by the team in the division below. Starting to think that cup competitions are now history as far as most L1 teams are concerned, JB making it clear last night in his post match presser the league is far more important. Then why not put the kids out instead of arguably our strongest team ?

Absolutely seething about last nights result - when you look at the great draws the smaller clubs have got: Forest Green v Brighton, Cambridge v Southampton, Stockport v Leicester, Tranmere v Newcastle - why don't we take these cup games seriously? Or is it that currently we're just not good enough.

If that's the case, can you explain to me why 15 league one teams progressed to the second round this week? I think it's more a case of the Championship teams not bothering with it. Out of the all the Championship clubs only 5 went through to the 2nd round, and even then 4 out of those 5 were playing against a fellow Championship team. Blackburn were the only ones who beat a team from a lower Division.

We'd still sell out even if Fulham were likely to send a B Team, plus if we won the tie the record books would never show we'd only beaten a B Team. I find it baffling that we lose £m's each season but never seem to show any interest in winning cup games and earning some extra £'s.

Didn't we play our full strength team apart from the enforced Gibbons change? Could have easily started the kids

Slightly different saying "Hasnt looked very good so far" The relevant being so far. All players deserve 10-12 games at least as we all know some have become excellent players ie Coutta,Collins,Roberts,Lambert. JB has not made many mistakes with signings and Loft could well become a useful player to have around.

True he missed the chance near the end, having said that he created it with his harrying of their backline.
